  1. I love the Gruvgear Solostraps - cool design and huge foam padding!
  2. ***PRICE DROP TO £20*** Hello all Selling this super high quality WD Music J Bass scratchplate. It was on my American Pro J Bass for about 2 hours, I removed the protective plastic so couldn't return it but it's essentially brand new. Absolutely beautiful deep celluloid tort - incredible character in the flame! 3 ply tort/parchment/black The colour is Brown Tortoiseshell but it's a little more red than the usual Fender colour, would look amazing on a Sunburst bass. Looks great in different lights, I have tried to photograph it but it's really hard to capture the depth! Cost £52.95 plus delivery at the below link - it's yours for £20 plus £3 UK postage. https://www.wdmusic.co.uk//pickguards-c62/fender-basses-c111/jazz-bass-usa-standard-c120/jazz-bass-us-standard-celluloid-brown-tortoiseshell-parchment-black-parchment-p1093/s1562 Thanks Danny
  3. Yep, most instruments are compressed at FOH anyway, so why over squash it by sending something already compressed? Dynamics are cool!
  4. I don't understand the need for compressors live. In the studio yes, but live, an imbalance of notes is usually a setup or technique issue.
  5. In a musical way or otherwise?
  6. Hi all As per description 12 silver colour hex key saddle height screws that fit US Fender bass bridges SOLD Thanks Danny
  7. Hi all Lovely mint green scratchplate for sale here - a classic look Taken from a Fender American Professional Precision Bass, I replaced it with a tort as soon as I bought the bass. 3 ply - mint/black/mint. It's a bit lighter in colour than the pic, white background for contrast! Near perfect condition - some minor swirling only. SOLD Thanks Danny

  9. Hi all Selling a used set of Thomastik JF344 flatwound strings - you know all about these! Recommended by Pino and many others who love the lower tension. They came on a bass that I bought recently, can't see any traces of use or fretwear at all. Still have quite a bit of snap for a flatwound and they aren't dulled at all. Cut for a Fender J or P Bass but might fit most others too. They were also strung thru body but they'll fit a regular bridge also with a bit of length to spare. Thanks Danny
  10. Yeah with a good setup and thicker strings you are golden dude
  11. Quite a bit of interest but no firm sale as yet Chris!
  12. The lowest fundamental frequency is, but when the control is centred at 40hz, it boosts frequencies at 40hz, above and below. There is no audible benefit to hearing frequencies at 40hz and below IMO. A control centre of around 80 to 100hz is a much more usable and musical frequency IMO.
  13. Aguilar TH500 I have never understood why they set the Bass frequency centre to 40hz. Surely this makes this control completely redundant, IMO it's way too low to be usable as an audible bass control and just adds rumble. The Drive control was also completely useless, as I found that the amp would distort heavily even before it got to 12 o clock on the Master.
  14. Depends on the genre of course but I find click tracks to be more or less essential. We live in the Youtube age where a drummer is considered good if they get 1m hits on a 64th note paradiddle drum solo. Most drummers nowadays completely gloss over the basics that you need in an ensemble context (time, feel, groove) in favour of glamorous nonsense. The same could be said of most musicians I guess. 99% of large scale touring bands use a click live for one reason or another - a notable exception being Metallica, whose live tempos are notoriously terrible.
  15. Don't noodle in between songs - it's boring and ruins the anticipation of the next song.
  16. Hi all Something has just come up that has caught my eye, so this beauty is the first to leave my stable. 2012 EBMM US Stingray 5 H with Official Hardshell Case. It's in 10/10 condition, looks like it has barely been played at all! Not a mark on it anywhere that I can see. Recently set up with a new set of EBMM Slinky strings which have had about 2 hours play time. It could genuinely pass as a new bass apart from some minor swirling on the pickguard. The case is also immaculate. Weight is 4.5kg. It also comes with Dunlop Straplok buttons included. No trades thanks! SOLD I guess I should clarify also that as NI is in the UK, there is no import/export duty or any of that carry on! Try outs are welcome if you happen to be near County Tyrone. Thanks Danny
  17. Hi all Selling this cracking little cabinet as I have two and don't need both. It's a 1x10 with a tweeter rated at 250w at 8ohms. Neodymium speaker so it's super lightweight at 9.5kg (21lbs) and very portable with a handle on top. Front ported too so sounds great on all stages. Also has a pop out stand underneath to allow it to be tilted slightly for easy monitoring. These are quite rare and were only made for a very limited time by Ibanez It's in great condition, virtually unused as was a spare that was rarely needed. I guess I should clarify also that as NI is in the UK, there is no import/export duty or any of that carry on! Dimensions: 32cm W x 33cm D x 46cm H Thanks Danny
