  1. Welcome Saskia I agree that some of the lessons on SBL are a bit complex and intimidating, however there are many which are easy to jump into and that you'll benefit from. You just need to pick those which will stretch your abilities and knowledge and move you to the next stage. Use SBL as the great resource it is, take what you need, leave that which you don't. I disagree with those who criticise Scott for the way he presents his YT videos, he explains why he presents them in the way he does in one of his videos. For somebody who's giving players the chance to expand their abilities and technique, many for FREE, I think he gets a lot of undeserved stick. Playing with other musicians will always help you to use the stuff you've learnt and will bring on your confidence - which is no bad thing. Perseverance is the key...
  2. A friend of mine owns a sign/ printing company and they do wraps for vans, etc - think BT/ SKY/etc. I asked about having a bass done - "no problem" - but never followed up on it. No reason why your local sign makers/ printers couldn't do the same.
  3. I bought a Peavey Xmen guitar....as noted collectors will buy.
  4. Seen this? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/353761540165?hash=item525dd4b845:g:xTAAAOSw~2xhiW84
  5. I have the five string version. I've also owned "the real thing" and I can honestly say that the Performer range is as playable as the US models. As entry models they are very respectable and for £200 I think that you're doing alright. Buy it!!
  6. I've done it a few times to members here but it's assumed that if you're a respected member here you must be alright.
  7. That looks and sounds so scary - I bet Jack is wearing brown underwear this week.
  8. Arrived safely, Pete...many thanks.
  9. I couldn't find a feedback thread for @Peaty . If there is an existing thread can somebody merge them please?? Many thanks to Pete. He posted a thread for a free book "Funk" by Rickey Vincent - I couldn't believe that others hadn't jumped on it. I sent Pete a Pm and a few days later said book is in my possession. Haven't had a chance to make a start on it yet but I'm pretty sure I'll learn something from it. Thanks again , Pete.
  10. Love that blue...we know it's going to be a stunner

  12. I have two - they haven't earned their keep in ages. The Ibanez ones are very good quality with ample padding. Sorry...all photos deleted.
  13. There was a set of pick ups on eBay recently - quick look but can't find them...
  14. Worth £118??
  15. Mesa Boogie amps??? What's an amp??? I've still got square wheels on my car...
  16. I played with a drummer for a while who complained incessantly about the members of his previous band. His timing was often off and he struggled with new rhythms, roles and fills. He eventually left the project and went back to his old band (who probably tolerated him)
  17. I picked up a NE-1 pre-amp last week but haven't had a chance to use it (puppy!!). Hope that it's as good as it's reputed to be.
  18. Bumped into some friends today who saw them this weekend. Video confirms MK back on the Jaydees.
  19. Your Psychic abilities are amazing....how many fingers am I holding up?
  20. I found him for you
  21. I like the look of this - looks to be quality parts too. Proceeds go to Shelter who I worked for on two occasions covering 10 years. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/165167763548?hash=item2674c4105c:g:Lo8AAOSw68VhhDAd
  22. SB1200?? Anybody know anything about these?? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/294484710672?hash=item4490a81510:g:P6cAAOSwArxhcnAG
  23. I had one in black - great bass for the money - really well built, nice balance, good satin neck finish - for the money it was a steal.
  24. You can get one in good condition for around £100 so probably not cost effective. Ridiculous really.
