1. I'll take it. Incoming PM.
2.
How about this? https://www.reverendguitars.com/basses/mike-watt-wattplower
Wow, that looks really nice! But the price tag, not so...
3. Nice bass, did it come without the pick guard or did you remove it? I have an amberburst which my son likes so much he has more or less nicked it... Mine is on the heavy side!
4.
Never seen one of those but what a cool looking rig
My thoughts exactly. Have they been spotted outside of Finland?
5. The Lovely Eggs have tweeted that their support act for tonight's gig in Galashiels has dropped out and they are looking for a replacement. It's in Scotland according to Google. I don't know what the arrangement would be. If interested contact them on twitter/Facebook directly, I have no connection with the band, other than thinking they are amazing. https://twitter.com/TheLovelyEggs/status/898835802708430848
6. Any pictures? Thanks.

Feedback for Mace

I bought a stereo looper from Mace. It's a pretty big pedal and it arrived safely, cocooned in its original box, and very quickly. It was a pleasure to trade with Mace, a very easy transaction.
8. I'll have the LS-2 - PM on its way.
9. I bought an EHX POG2 from Paul. It was sent very quickly and packaged very securely despite not having its original box. Very smooth transaction, great comms. Thanks!
10. The "new version" is a few years old and already out of production. These things are rare and very expensive. There are clones but I do not know how they compare. I have a Fredric Effects Scrambled Brainz but it is a clone of the original pedal (fuzz octave up).

Mild fuzz advice.

I have just picked up a Fredric Effects Scrambled Brainz (Ampeg Scrambler clone) from this very forum and it has a blend that goes from 100% dry to 100% wet. But it's not a subtle fuzz, from the limited time I have spent with it: http://www.fredric.co.uk/scrambled-brainz-ampeg-scrambler-clone.
12. I bought an effects pedal from Elfrasho. Friendly guy with very good communication and the pedal was sent promptly and securely packaged. The pedal was as described, including blemishes, and in full working order. Great transaction, thanks.

Bass
noun

the lowest adult male singing voice. Plural: basses Example: I have too many basses (also rarely used). I don't have enough basses. I take pictures of my basses on the sofa.
14. More recently I saw Russian shoegazers Pinkshinyultrablast, they had a Travis Bean. Some footage from *behind* the bass player here: https://youtu.be/ITqUFEukdds
15.
What's it actually for, though?
It's for whatever you like, be wild! I'll tell you what I use mine for: I live up North (ish) but work in London, so I stay here during the week and rent a small room. To pass time in the grim city I needed a docking station for my phone to play some music and a small practice amp to play my bass through. And cables, lots of cables. So I got the B-Social, the sound quality streaming audio from my phone/laptop through the bluetooth connection is pretty good. I can use my bass using the included wireless system and play along, or practice against a backing track, drum track etc. I have even recorded a few things just because it is there (that involves cables though). So for me it is a great solution for my predicament - I guess this is not what Ashdown had in mind when they created it, otherwise it would have been called the B-Hermit. Like Muppet said, it is a great piece of kit, the build quality is fantastic and the features really good. A few bits are not ideal, but on the whole I really like it. I didn't not pay the full price either, I could not have justified that.
16. So I think it is an ATK 100. The layout of the controls is a bit different from the pictures I found, but it could be because in the later models (MIK etc.) the 3 way switch has been migrated to an area less prone to accidental flicking. It would be a passive bass then.
17. I keep an eye on the Japanese made ATKs that come up on eBay and this one came up: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/332099483598?ul_noapp=true I have never seen an ATK with 2 knobs. My MIJ 300 has 4 knobs and the switch, like all ATKs I have seen. Anybody knows what model that is?
18. I like the music. Good luck with finding the right bass player.
19. How often does it need to be fed, and why doesn't it need a knife? At least it's not vegetarian Good looking bass!!
20.
Have you made a decision yet?
I thought a decision was made on post #41. Are we having another round?
21.
I went to see The Cure again last night. Simon Gallup has the poses...he also skips about the stage in fits and starts....i have no idea how he manages to not miss a beat (other than the fact his basslines are simple)...the way he looks like he's trying to push his bass into the floor all the time impresses me. just saying
Yes he does look cool. Unfortunately the sound, bass in particular, was rubbish. But he was a good example of giving something to look at when the rest of the band is mostly static; which helps with making it a great show (in this case despite the sound).
