  1. I think I have the same as @Muppet. So, what’s with the knobs? Why is there no 5? I still haven’t worked it out
  2. Check the Ashdown b-social. It’s wireless, so saves cable clutter and you can use bass and guitar at the same time if you wish I also use mine as a stereo and stream music from iTunes, Spotify and phone. And audio when watching a film on my laptop. It’s ideal for a small space.
  3. PM’d
  4. I always thought Epaminondas was a female name. Things you learn heh?
  5. Relisted at £80! I actually quite like the paint job too. But I don’t need a bass, pink or otherwise, however cheap.
  6. Yeah. From the pedal description, it's actually from 20Hz to 3kHz: "Both filter having a 12db/Oct. roll-off with a variable cut-off frequency from 20Hz to 3kHz."
  7. At the risk of sounding stupid, what colour is it? Is it olympic white that has mellowed or is it a creamy colour to start with?
  8. It doesn’t say how much it weighs...
  9. I have a B Bass, I really like it. Your new one looks good.
  10. The voice is annoying enough, but yeah, Alan Partridge would have been better. I guess he was too busy on his radio show. Anyway, they spelt Hofner wrong too, so good luck to anyone looking for the second best bass in the world and googling Hoffner.
  11. Money Programme here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vBsqrvsOrGY Sounds quite similar at the end.
  12. Those that “play themselves”?
  13. I think it's just a cab, not a combo.
  14. Out of curiosity, how can you tell it is an EX/MIJ Stingray?
  15. Yes, big fan here. I discovered them in in '85 with The Head On The Door and worked my way back from there. My favourite album still is Seventeen Seconds. I then lost touch with the new stuff in the '00s. The original trilogy (17 Seconds, Faith, Pornography) was in all likelihood the reason I picked up the bass. The first gig I went to was The Cure in '86. Recently, I saw them at the Albert Hall in 2011 for the Reflections show, then took my son to see them at Reading in 2012 and started seeing them again every time they tour since. They're a great live band, they have such a huge back catalogue that each show is different and even though they play for 3 hours, it's never enough
  16. I tried the Apptek/AmpKit when I got mine a while ago. It’s a cool feature and worked fine, but there is only a very limited amount of pedals and cabs that come for free, and I quickly found out that other apps such as Amplitube are not supported. I think that’s the one let down - for the price new, I think the AmpKit bass package should be included.
  17. There was a thread on here from a few years ago, but I guess the pictures would have gone during the site upgrade. I have a couple of files with diagrams at home, I’ll upload them when I get there.
  18. Ah, you beat me to it: https://marksdiaries.wordpress.com Your googling is strong @wateroftyne.
  19. It’s probably just outdoors, anywhere in England ?
  20. I see, thanks. I really can't see any traces of frets. In any case, the fretboard is beautiful.
  21. Why do you think it was originally fretted? I couldn’t see any lines where the frets would have been removed from. Any close ups?
  22. The Cure
  23. The DigiTech Trio is back to £39.99 at Gear4Music (but on back order). They also have the Eden I90 Bass Chorus for £29, which seems cheap if you’re after a Chorus.
  24. I bought a multi-effects pedal off RLP. It was quickly delivered, great communication throughout, easy transaction. Recommended.
