  1. I have a beard No sketches I dare show, sorry
  2. Are these set-necks? I'm wondering if it's a bitsa.
  3. I have a Sekrit Projekt to build a bass viola... Not going particularly well at the moment 😦
  4. ... but then it'd be a piezo.
  5. Woof woof!
  6. I don't think it's going to take that long... "ended by the seller because there was an error in the listing" (Perhaps a member, then?)
  7. The obvious thing to do is to contact neither of them... Srsly, this is just spamming. I wouldn't deal with them; if they feel the need to cheat, well....
  8. Sure, but it would be awfully corny.
  9. They are fine basses IMO. I have more than I need already though
  10. Tempting. OTOH, it's flat-bridge, so using a bow would be severely limited. Hm.
  11. BEX-4 goes for maybe £200-220 at the moment, I think. There aren't all that many on sale, so it's hard to tell. (I know I'm not selling mine in a hurry )
  12. Don't know the BEX-BS, but the BEX-4 is nice (much cheaper, I presume!), so it ought to be pretty good. I don't like the arrangement of the controls on the BEX-BS much, but I can see the problem (I assume it has a piezo bridge like its inexpensive cousin?).
  13. Whether it's a Jaydee copy or not, I wouldn't bid on anything with this in the listing: "Price is negotiable, make an offer and we'll talk from there. "
  14. I reckon it would go "Ping" quite happily if you hit it with drumsticks
  15. Maybe this one would be preferable? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SGC-Nanyo-Bass-Collection-Active-Electric-Bass-Guitar-Made-in-Japan-1990s/254103946246?hash=item3b29c68406:g:dIsAAOSwPGtcUyKt A bit more expensive. No model number visible, but active so probably an SB310. Looks as if the neck's been off a couple of times?
  16. SB310 is the most probable active bass, but who knows with the BCs... some of them have more than one model number on them, IIRC.
  17. The broken one looks as if it might be a good bet. Stourbridge. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Bass-Collection-SB301-by-SGC-Nanyo-Bass-Guitar-Active-Pickups-Faulty/163510003862?hash=item2611f4a896:g:vZEAAOSwdgxcTbNl The alleged SB300 might not be? No such animal as an SB300, IIRC; and no pics of the back. Shrewsbury. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SGC-Nanyo-Bass-Collection-Superb-late-1990s-Bass-made-in-Japan-light-and-fast/173767951520?hash=item28756084a0:g:ECYAAOSwIbpcUFZv
  18. Absolutely loved it.
  19. Lovely. Thanks folks, I will give it a go. I have a couple of leather picks (and maybe a fibre one somewhere?) so will try that.
  20. I suspect that would be seen as fraudulent. It's not as though you could provide the goods in question, after all. So it would be high risk if you had any sort of reputation.
  21. That would be a stupid idea if someone made it in his shed. Asking for money for it? - that's perilously close to fraud.
  22. I thought he was a Womble?
  23. In Loughborough... I think that might be within his range, as well.
