BTW I love hearing slap bass - I feel that one of the main purposes of bass guitar is to make people want to dance, and slap does that for me. Unfortunately, I can't actually do it very well at all despite years of trying!

For sale – the following three effects pedals: - Electroharmonix Mini Q-tron - Electroharmonix Big Muff - Tech 21 Bass Compactor They each come with a mains adaptor and Velcro on the bottom. The EHX pedals also have adaptor cables for a Diago power station. A few scratches on the face of the EHX pedals but they function perfectly. Looking for £35 each incl. I am looking to sell my Yamaha BB1100s, bought new in 1987. It was gigged regularly over the next few years and underwent the following modifications in the late eighties/early nineties: - brass/bone nut - OBL pickups - Schaller bridge - Hipshot D-tuner - Pickup selector replaced with pan switch After buying a Kubicki bass in 1992, I had the frets taken out of this one, realised I couldn't play fretless and put it in the loft. Fast forward to the present day. It has now had a new maple fretboard and a general spruce up. It has a few dings – mainly on the base of the body and the end of the headstock – but still looks and sounds great. I am looking for £350 (was £400), which will cover the cost of the latest mods! This includes a hard case covered in lots of stickers from the 80's. No trades – sorry. I would suggest speaking to the drummer and asking him how he thinks that it's going. Interesting how you get used to someone over time, though. A drummer who I have played in several bands with depped with my current band the other week. The rest of the band commented that he tended to slow down - I've never noticed!! S**t - does that make me a fraud too?

For me, the old style pickguard only looks 'right' with the pickup cover on. Shame they didn't do that for this bass.

My Jazz has a J-Retro, a Badass bridge and a D-tuner. That's about £400 worth. I also can't speak highly enough of the J-Retro - AND I didn't ask for the discount!
