The problem with the vegetarian/vegan option I've found from my own circle of friends is that they are also the most picky and awkward, a bbq with my 'normal' friends can be a few burgers, sausages and buns, ketchup and beers. The veggie version always turns into a feast of half eaten stuff on the kitchen table!
Why do vegans and vegetarians feel the need to make themselves sound special?
I dont like fish or gammon for example so I'd just avoid it at a buffet, it's a buffet so you just take things you like, aren't allergic to or have moral issues eating. If there's nothing you like get a McDonald's on the way home!
😋
My big rig consists of a dual channel 900 watt Genz Benz head with a price tag of around £1100 originally and a Genz 2x12 coming in at around £800, its loud, too loud tbh yet my long gone old Peavey TNT remains my favourite bass sound of all time.
I normally go straight into the desk pre EQ from an active bass so the front of house only has the digital desk EQ before it hits the audience, I'm hopefully going ampless altogether, bass to BDDI (or similar) to desk, Desk to in ears, done.
I think we all know a guitarist like this, he's trying to decide on your bass tone and lines yet he's adding in solos where one isn't needed!
I fear this won't end well 😖
No but almost all basses with a battery inside use the jack socket as a switch to turn the circuits off.
It's just a stereo socket instead of a mono one in the bass and the male end shorts the spare contact to the ground.
BBBBzzzzzzzzzzzzz.....
I started out on a Stingray after the Warwick I went to buy from sound control in Birmingham was faulty!
I had cash in my pocket to burn and that was it. Nearly 20 years later and they are still my go to bass albeit with a jazz along side and they've all gained a B string these days.
I've never got the one trick pony thing, I think that applies to one trick players.
I think that depends partly on the audience and partly on the band, a good pub band in a good pub where the punters know the band and appreciate live music will be better than a poor tribute act playing a venue that isn't bothered ie a works doo to a seated audience or similar.
And visa versa obviously.
Honestly I haven't, I think I changed the strings and batteries on all my basses this time last year. I need to do the same again now so that'll be around £150 although I might not do a couple of them as they still feel OK and I've probably got one set of strings at least in the drawer so potentially only one set to buy and four 9v batteries.
However we are thinking about in ears......
The only thing I'd add is that you should ring ahead imo, I've seen people on here slag them off after arriving out the blue to be stood around as other people were trying stuff out, which is fine but you can't expect a small shop demoing expensive stuff to customers that have effectively made an appointment to be snubbed when you walk in imo.
They'll also confirm what you want is in stock and have it ready for you too, so either call ahead or be patient that's all I'm saying.
