  1. Strung thru like some pre EB and new classic stingrays solves the issue, still not centred over the mute pads but not enough to be a problem.
  2. Mute bridge, straight over the mutes but angled strings to back plate.
  3. Then it's not a Flea bridge drT, look where the strings are in relation to the holes where the blanking screws are on the OPs pictures. You can see the bridge is set closer the control plate to compensate. Both the trans bridge and flea bridge ran concurrently and a mute kit could be purchased to fit a trans bridge, NOT TO BE USED ON A FLEA BRIDGE, the mute pads would miss the strings. musicmanbass.org/mycustompage0061.htm Gav's site is hit and miss at the moment but its all explained here, there is no "earlier version" with mutes, if you've got mutes you've got a trans bridge.
  4. That's not a trans bridge, it's a desirable Flea bridge. The strings run straight across from the back of the bridge past the saddle slots then the bridge is mounted a few mm to the side to compensate, if you look where the Allen screws are blanking the mute kit holes you can see they are not under the strings. It might still work but the mute pads might miss the strings, certainly won't be centred. There are a lot of basses out there claiming to have a flea bridge but most of them just have the blanking screws but still have the angled string back to the back plate. If you look at your picture you can see the bridge is mounted off set to the pickup towards the control plate.
  5. If the gig is large enough to need a big amp then it's big enough to need everything in the pa, if you're doing a mixture of venue sizes then in ears would make life easier and full of heft, thrust and everything else.
  6. Is that usa or mim?
  7. Well the wheel of fortune truss wheel can be adjusted with any of those keys.
  8. I would keep it just for show!
  9. If you didn't like the 2x10 then I can't see how having a 1x10 is going to be a good idea? The 1x10 to my mind is a useful addition to someone who has a selection of heads and cabs but needs a practice amp, without the amp.
  10. You wouldn't use it, what ya thinking man! Lol
  11. Oooh I like that tool kit!
  12. I think the two ten would be much better, not that much extra to carry really but far more versatile.
  13. I think you could but it would be flat out, I didn't like the tone from them either but that's subjective. Of course the fans won't have a bad word said about them so I'm sure someone will be along to tell me they are playing Wembley in an Iron Maiden tribute without pa support and it's too loud. At least you can try one and send it back if you don't like it. The best solution would be a better pa then you could use a smaller bass cab anyway. We swapped our pa which got rid of two old subs, two power amps/mixers and I went from my 2x12 to my 1x12 for anything other than outdoor gigs, the whole thing takes less time to setup, less storage room, less room in the cars/vans, less room in the venue, it's louder and sounds better!
  14. Has it got anything to do with Blue's invisible bear dance?
  15. I don't mind the look of the normal five tbh, the classic five does look and feel special though.
  16. Hhhmm maybe
  17. Is there a five string Krivo?
  18. I've just noticed what appears to be a third leg!
  19. The guy with the white shirt is clearly loving it, the guy in front of him looks like he is looking over to his partner to see if they are 'taking it all in' so to speak.
  20. As Roger says, I use a schaller and it works great for me, I never going to be in the philharmonic so that's not a worry. I think a simple five string jazz bass pickup possibly mated to a volume and tone pot routed via something like fishman preamp would work fine.
  21. I haven't got the equipment to need to worry about that, not the Wang or the pedal board!
  22. Excellent!
  23. I think it's fairly safe to assume what would cause offence, yes it's still the choice of the person to take offence but would you give a talk about how the holocaust was a hoax outside a synagogue? Walk around a mosque with dirty shoes on eating a sausage roll? Unless you are either trying to incite hatred or a total moron it's safe to assume the 'hit rate' of offended people in those scenarios would be 100% Playing killing in the name in a rock bar, far less likely.
  24. She had 13 years in which to do it had she wanted.
  25. I've got the matching blue sparkle to that but with a maple fingerboard, it's also a later version with the Alnico pickup. I've got a black and white one with a ceramic pickup that was fretless. A stingray classic five. And a six string jobbie. free screenshot
