    Yes but you can get a close idea of what you'll be getting by trying a mass produced bass in a shop before ordering one, making a list of all the things you like and having that built often leads to disappointment.

    So many of these perfect "exact spec" basses get sold on within a year or two in my experience.

    The classics are really nicely made when you see one in the flesh, one piece slab body, birdseye maple neck, string thru bridge with mutes etc. I wanted to replace my pre Ernie Ball rays but with five strings, these are as near as possible.

    I didn't realise what they cost new now or how hard to find in five strings they are, Thomann was the only place I found one, £2801.

    Is there a limit to the Internet where we must conserve threads by only commenting on or creating constructive topics? The only positive thing I got from the 'performance' was in taking some comfort in being certain they won't be taking any gigs from my band.

    I think that's the worst thing I've ever heard, anyone claiming to enjoy it in the other thread is just trying to make themselves out to be different.

    You can make your own easily enough, get a good quality speaker lead jack to jack, get two neutrik speakon ends, cut the lead in half and put a speakon on the end of each, ta-daa two jack to speakon leads!
