  1. I'd rather have flat and characterless out front than a killer sound on stage but mush out front, which many of the "my sound" players end up with!
  2. I joined a project like this, a year later I'd sold every four string I owned
  3. Leds, headless, keyboard bit all he needs is a music stand and a waistcoat to be the most uncool person ever!
  4. Oh it's certainly fun for the player and maybe the drummer but might not be good for the overall ensemble.
  5. I actually had the opportunity to buy one cheap, I tried to like it but couldn't and decided to give it back even though I should have just kept it under the bed!
  6. I certainly wouldn't plough any of my funds into one.
  7. Sounds a bit Deere?
  8. Surely the whole point of an FRFR setup is that has the full range for your purposes, if you need to add a sub for head room or range then it hasn't got enough usable range and you've bought the wrong kit, when you consider a pair of RCFs can handle front of house for a full band including keys and kick drum for a medium sized venue then a single one as a monitor should cover every gig, anything bigger would require wedges around the stage or in ears.
  9. Better I'd imagine and more ergonomic too.
  10. Defo pie, chuck me some days over. No I just tapped into the usual mix and it's setup for that venue and using backline, it didn't sound bad at all and I'm not sure if my amp was even post EQ! I'll get Jim off that old amp soon.
  11. That's only so Jools can overdub boogie woogie over everything.
  12. The bigger the stage the less sub I'd want on it.
  13. I think the mistake and a costly one was revealed when you said 'condenser'?
  14. Yes that's a point, what's Gregory porter upto next week? Lol
  15. I'm trying to get the least amount of stuff on stage, a sub and a pa top or two is the last thing I'd want!
  16. I think he might have missed the gig, it was filmed on the 12th apparently. Fake news, lol.
  17. I decided to try out my in ears last night, I didn't want to try the band on them without the proper practice run and level check we've got planned but as I'd got backline anyway I thought I'd give mine a whirl, even without a dedicated iem mix but just some sends thrown at a spare aux out within three songs it sounded great! Can't wait to get the whole band on them and the amps, cabs, wedges and power leads all out the way.
  18. Probably had other plans for nye? Lol
  19. That would be one hell of a cracking list though!
  20. I don't click on these click bait lists anymore.
  21. Stand by your beds.... Dave is reading the thread!
  22. We played a packed city centre pub, tickets only sold out to maximum capacity allowed, one of those gigs you'd have been happy playing for free but came home with a pocket full of cash to top the night off. I can watch Gregory porter and Ruby Turner on catch up, but I won't looking at the comments here.
  23. If you don't ask you don't get.....
  24. Which well known session players only play a P bass, and on what recent well known tracks?
  25. Is he no longer Welsh? Lol
