  1. Quick shout out to EBS_freak for spending the day setting up my band on in ears including the new FOH mix, I think we've totally killed rock and roll but on the plus side we've got three less large heavy boxes to bring, four if we can get rid of the guitar amp, no mains leads required out front and four sockets we don't need. Thanks again dude.
  2. It didn't work unfortunately!
  3. When playing Snow Patrol I play open A, open D and get a member of the audience to press the Ab down on the E string! I've also played it left handed all the way through just to make it slightly more exciting.
  4. Well let's say there's twenty manufacturers, obviously there's far more, "most" would require more than half of them to have peeling Tolex issues, so that's eleven even if we're playing it down to only twenty brands, I can think of only two, Barefaced and the early versions of Ampeg after they moved the assembly to another country.
  5. Common to most modern amps? , what a load of bollards.
  6. Totally pointless, many venues are getting savvy, the certificate MUST include the contact details of the person responsible for the testing.
  7. Have you been hanging out with Mr Hall and Mr Ball?
  8. Yeah and our band plays stuff from the 70s too!
  9. I do feel ashamed to be a man sometimes, the young lady in that clip clearly didn't want any attention other than for her musical performance.
  10. Come on Silvia you must know how it works by now, mention cyclists or Brexit and it will be locked within a page or less.
  11. Have you joined a The Who tribute?
  12. I don't do charity gigs anymore, Never been paid or thanked for one.
  13. Tickled trout, lol. Where is JTUK?
  14. Also the pretenders were on Jools Holland a while ago, I rarely blow my own trumpet but my band are better at pretenders covers than they are these days, lol.
  15. I've played a few pubs with a separate bar and lounge, honestly if the actual beatles were back together with the use of a time machine the punters still wouldn't come in to the other room to watch! Very odd. Without naming any names there's a z list bass player that lives near me that has a function band made from other professional players and they are great there's no doubt about it but the lack of actual rehearsal time shows, a good busy weekend warrior function band would sound more 'profesional' to most people.
  16. Yeah, just watched it on the iplayer it was good, maybe just needed a half hour section about the P bass used for the Shadows hits? Lol.
  17. I think we've had 8 pages of people pointing out that it wasn't " A history of the P Bass and its best known users" but I don't think the P bass fans want to hear.
  18. I probably rock the two lead look for a bit.
  19. As great as those players in the clip are a few Asian men saying "wawwwyrrwwr" every couple of minutes will not pay their mortgage.
  20. Is that a class D heftless amp too, and where's her waist coat?
  21. A few years ago these over 50s with cash to spend on a Status or the latest hand made super jazz bass only had bass shows to perform at, now they've got YouTube.
  22. Same here, I believe our own OBBM makes a dual lead all in one but I keep forgetting to order one!
  23. It's probably just a Limelight with the sharpie rubbed off.
  24. Yes, but it was a show for the public.
