  1. Past hour
  2. A splash of mouthwash on a rag also works well as a gentle (and paint friendly) cleaner if you don’t happen to have alcohol wipes.
  3. These ones?- https://www.stewmac.com/parts-and-hardware/tuning-machines/electric-bass-tuning-machines/graph-tech-bass-ratio-4-in-line-tuner-set-with-y-style-knobs/?&pref_currency=GBP&shipcalc=UK&mtm_source=google&mtm_medium=cpc&mtm_campaign=|+GOO+|+SHOP+|+NBR+|+AllProductsUK&gad_source=1&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIr-CrzKX3hQMVmJJQBh2G9QPhEAQYBCABEgLKKfD_BwE They seem reasonably priced. Never come across the idea of different ratio tuners. I dear it may be a bit of a gimmick but the idea intrigues me…….
  4. Ok so it’s not as compact as a Noble but it offers so much more. I’d say it’s better value too when you’re into this price range based on what it offers.
  5. Buy graph tec Ratio tuners. They have a different ratio for each string to make tuning more accurate. They will however cost 10 times more than the bass is worth but at least least you'll be super accurately in tune!
  6. Ya, i just use a random 3 button switch.

  9. ...or, Füčķ~ýöŕ~Łůćķ!... all that on a picture rail? https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/1735836436883158/
  10. Thanks! Exactly, the sensitivity control is a wonderful feature and appears to work interactively with the gain. I’d love to keep this but it’s an ornament. One of the very few bits of gear, the odd bass apart, on which my wife has commented positively (from a purely aesthetic perspective!)
  11. I feel like a Wiley oriental gentleman. Stranglers
  12. Sadly since Brexit, you can't simply send and/or receive a bass and claim it is swapped/free! You will need to pay tax on its true market value; whether you can then go about claiming back the tax is another matter (I simply ceased considering a swap when I established this).
  13. We're sort of Americana (we have a violin player and have had a pedal steel player on a few tracks in the past). Some of the bigger festivals (Black Deer, Long Road etc) seem a bit of a "closed shop", especially if you're not based in the South, which appears to be where there's a bigger scene. Having said that, we might just be rubbish.
  14. 2016 Ernie Ball Musicman ‘old smoothie’ in smoothie burst. This plays like a dream and sounds amazing. currently strung with flats. comes with the Musicman hard case. I love this bass but since needing more of a precision sound it really hasn’t been played. I'm willing to drive 50 miles from Birmingham to deliver, further for a petrol cost. I can’t post this at this moment in time. weighs 9Ib on my non digital scales. there’s one just sold at Bass Bros for over £1900 so I think this is a fair price for a bass that doesn’t come up that often.
  15. Today
  16. I was thinking this too. The deal didn't go through unfortunately, but I was considering meeting halfway, which was cheaper than using a courier.
  17. Thanks, Leftfret; there were a few bites when I first listed it, but the market has gone very quiet since; I wouldn't be surprised if it's still about then. The amp has played a few gigs up Lowestoft way pver the years. I have a lot of respect for James Demeter (though I've never dealt with him directly), your dealings sound like others I've heard of, he seems like a toned-down Ken Smith sort; I think the live sound industry owes him a lot; the amount of high-end backline he was/is responsible for...
  18. I don't expect these to sell, and to be honest I won't be disappointed if they don't. Offered here are two CSM 12s, made by the fine folk at QSC. These are, without hyperbole, the finest speakers I have ever used. If I had roadies, I would use these on every gig, the clarity, range, volume and fidelity are all *chef's kiss*. They're currently permanently installed in my practice room, as they are heavier than the sun and I can no longer face shifting them to and from gigs. The reality is, they're overkill for me now, and their current use is a ridiculous indulgence; if they sell, the funds will be used to replace them with something lighter. I'm also offering the QSC GXD4 that I use to power them; it's not the perfect power amp for the job, but it's been more than powerful enough for my needs. It comes housed in a flight case. The details for the wedges can be found on the QSC website, here. The details for the power amp can be found on the QSC website, here. I'm happy to sell the monitors individually at £600 each, but I'll be keeping the power amp if it doesn't sell with the monitors, as I have plenty of use for it. These are, for obvious reasons, collection only (Ipswich).
  19. Offered in excellent, 8.5/10 condition are two examples of my favourite 112 cabs. I'll doubtless regret this, but the reality is they aren't getting used, as I'm opting for an 4x10 on the types of gigs I used to use these on. These come complete with official Bergantino covers, in tatty but serviceable condition. The details and specs for these cabinets can be found on the Bergantino website, here. I'll entertain shipping these, but it'll require my finding big enough boxes; I imagine the quote'll be somewhat expensive. Collection, from Ipswich, is preferred, but I may be persuaded to deliver if you aren't too far away. £350 each or £675 for the pair.
  20. These are absolutely glorious; Jule Potter is a wizard. Whoever gets this won't be disappointed. GLWTS!
