Good to hear you’re out & about

200 million??? I'd fire that accountant!!

I'm out at last. Mri was clear but still unsteady and probably will take a weekor two to recover. Had to bow out of three gigs with three bands this weekend but they have all been great about it. Gutted as was really looking forward to it

I think they were red, white and blue - UK flag colours (UK distributor anniversary). I notice one or two demos of the Pino Stingrays are starting to appear on You Tube.

Great basses! My Elrick Expat Evo 5 quickly became my goto gigging bass after I acquired it from @Sibob of this parish (who is a far more capable bassist than me!) back in 2021. Not sure I would have had the confidence to acquire one new back then, given the cost, but was keen to try one out as, on paper, it ticked so many boxes for me and being able to buy one used was a godsend! I've been really delighted with it and won't be parting company with mine any time soon! Little clip of the bass in action at a recent outdoor gig - set on neck pup in active mode with tone knobs flat, with preamp EQ duties being handled by my GT1000 Core pedal: LA Mixtrax - Bletchley Park

What do you feel you will gain with a pickup swap out of interest?

So I've been to The Gallery and tried the Elrick 5 string in the link. It's a very well made instrument and looks incredible but unfortunately it wasn't the bass for me. For one I struggle with the sound of Bart pickups. It was also too light for me like REALLY light and I felt the sound suffered as a result. Sorry I couldn't be more upbeat but I only present my opinions, these are by no means facts. I put it back and picked up a Stingray 5 and it put a huge smile on my face immediately in contrast.

Wireless IEM system : M-VAVE WP-12 - suprisingly good for the price
mcnach replied to kiat's topic in Accessories and Misc
Here it says latency is 3ms! I very much doubt it, but I'd be very happy to be corrected. If it's under 6ms I'd get one, now that I'm trying to get our band on IEMs, to have a couple spares (Lekato and this). I expected it to be 10-15ms. https://www.amazon.co.uk/M-VAVE-WP12-Wireless-Guitar-System-black/dp/B0F6DB9QD6 -

Thing is, Ozzy doesn’t have to find £200M for a divorce settlement, the same cannot be said for Noel…

The main drawback with these cheap units tends to be their high latency: ok on their own, but if you have a long list of digital devices in your signal flow it all adds up. I got ages ago a Lekato MS-1, which works quite well. It has a bit of hiss compared to my MiPro58, but they're pretty nice and my signal path is quite simple, so the 12ms latency is not a real issue. I still prefer the MiPro58, but those cost me nearly 10x what the Lekato did. And these M-VAVE ones are even cheaper, and I really like their charging box design. Do you have a figure for their latency? It's not mentioned on the AliExpress ad. -
