  2. Yes I think the later Sire's are better, I had to reseat the bridge on mine, and replace the tuners as one failed. The intonation adjustment was limited as the adjustment screw went into a blind hole in the saddle, I had to recut the nut as well, but it was a later generation 1 so those issues might have been resolved. I don't think I am incredibly picky, and set up is partly a question of preference. All I did on the Anaconda was very lightly wire wool the back of the neck, which in effect recreates playing in the finish.
  3. I'm also having hearing issues. Last weekend I thought I was playing out of tune while my tuners indicated I was perfectly tuned. Daryl
  4. The two worst basses I've owned were a MIM Fender Jazz Squier series (weird one, it was an actual Fender, not a Squier) and my last MIM Precision. Sometimes cheap copies are better than the real thing.
  5. I was working on a show in Berlin at the time and was originally a member on BassWorld when I received my call up papers for Basschat on 19th May 2007.
  6. Great amp! Oh, and it's 2025 by the way!
  7. I like those pics. Very clean ! Daryl
  8. Halloween In Heaven - Type O Negative
  9. As stated in my original post, no trades, but thank you for your interest.
  10. My poor photo does not do the bass justice. It look much better in real life. The retailer's photos capture the finish much better.
  11. South West England. Nr Exeter
  12. It finally arrived on May 1st. Great looking and sounding bass. I haven't sold it yet, but I am tempted. The neck is too chunky for my taste. Not as bad as some others I had, e.g a black LT with Fishman Fluence pickups. I am telling myself that I will get used to it, but I just played my Euro Mike Starr signature that has a nice thin neck (probably modeled on Mike's Kramer era NS-2) and it felt sooo much better.
  13. The number 1 song in heaven - Sparks
  14. This is a fantastic deal for someone.
  15. The key update to Source Audio’s Sound Check functionality has now gone live. It’s now possible to create and hear presets in real time for any Source Audio pedal using just the Neuro 3 mobile or desktop app - no pedals or instruments required. This means you can check out in depth how this pedal will function and sound as an aid to determining whether it’d be something you’d use. https://www.sourceaudio.net/soundcheck.html

  18. @pete.young here it is not bolted together, nice colour match of body to neck and nice fit. I'll set it up to test playability if you're liking the look so far? Will look a little tighter once bolted no doubt
  19. In my classic rock band we do the NIN/Numan version of Cars
  20. I've just been reminded I'm seeing the local "community choir" on the 14th June and apparently they are good. Not exactly Bruce Springsteen, but at least it's live music.
  21. Today
  22. I sold my Lego bass to Stew. An easy trade - good communications, turned up as agreed. A+
