  1. Past hour
  2. Yes, rock in parallel to the string, including where the string sits specifically as worn spots can affect as well as high frets. Also, make sure your rocker is absolutely true and flat. There's tons of cheap ones on ebay and amazon that fail at their one and only job!
  3. Coming soon (probably tomorrow) to a Kiwi near you - I'll just say that you're going to be mightily impressed! (PM coming this evening too...)
  4. There are 2 pedals I like for this, TC Electronic Spark Booster and Ampeg Scrambler. The TC is very transparent, Ampeg adds a little to the tone but not much. If pushed I’d go Ampeg due to the blend option to keep the solid clean signal in there.
  5. That's unbelievable, unclaimed goods?!
  6. Neds Atomic Dustbin! I'm having an early '90's flashback! At the time I used to share a house with a girl who was one of their friends from Stourbridge. So I got more than my fair share of Neds Atomic Dustbin. Two bass players, one with a Rickenbacker playing the high parts, one with a Stingray holding it down. On paper a really interesting idea, but unfortunately in reality it just sounded like the typical indie-dirge-by-numbers that was so prevalent in those days. I can't remember any of the songs nowadays but I do remember they sold an awful lot of t shirts to students.
  7. PM'd you. Grtz, Marc.
  8. I've been enjoying listening to her greatest hits and obviously that takes you down a rabbit hole of Wikipedia,YouTube etc. Her bass playing is really interesting in as much as she's very subtle, pumping 8ths she is not, and even with the country influence she doesn't really go for the root and 5th thing either. I like it, it's more of a melodic embellishment that she probably doesn't get the credit for. I didn't realise she enjoyed a Stingray either until seeing a clip of her live. Some great tunes, all sorts of genres and great vocals, keys, guitar and of course bass.
  9. I had the stereo and sold it. Regretted it and bought the mono. It really is the Swiss Army knife of amp world. I’ve got a Markbass Evo 1 to try out at the moment which basically, has the Multiamp amps and effects but has two independent channels, which is exactly what I need. I think it’s what I’ve been looking for, for a long time 😁
  10. One of the newer Classic Vibes. Upgraded pups/loom, bridge and black plate. Not weighed it but I’d say it’s less than 9lb. I can leave the straplocks on or put the original pins back on. I do not have any of the other original parts. In pretty good condition, I’ve tried to photograph any damage I can see. The back of the neck is lightly sanded, which improves it in my opinion. It’s a really nice bass in one of my favourite colour schemes but something has cropped up that I’ve got my eye on. Collection from Blackburn Lancs is preferable but buyer can arrange a courier at their expense and I’ll add a beat up Gator case that is functional for shipping and gigging but has some issues.

  11. Excellent detective work.. hope Mark or Edlong21 see this asap and can make the right calls in the morning to get this back.. and find out who the thieving b*stard is!
  12. £50 price reduction Trades - X Touch Universal. Try me with anything, I can only say no 😁 Great bass in good condition, comes with hard case. Short scale. Not a heavy bass. Plays well. Not really any damage to speak of. There’s a little bit at the top of the headstock (photographed) but looks much worse than it actually is. I’ve removed the strap lock pins and replaced them with the originals that were odd when I got it. The case is old but fully function and all the clasps work. Chrome hardware and a vintage sunburst finish. Mahogany neck, rosewood fingerboard and a basswood body. A retro instrument with a modern twist." Maple Top Mahogany Body Mahogany Neck Lignum Rosa Fingerboard Entwistle MBH Bridge Pickup Entwistle MBN Neck Pickup Jumbo Frets 42mm Nut Width 30" Scale Length Can post at buyers expense or can be collected from BB22SH Any questions please ask.

  15. I've emailed Wellers, FWIW.
  16. If the next lucky owner of this amp don't find the pedal useful please let me know I am happy to take over with reason price
  17. Not heard of them, will ask my nephew when back in Belgium. The nephew plays drums and does some beatboxing in a metal band, Enemy Cage, in Limburg
  18. I dropped Edlong21 a pm just in case he doesn’t see the thread
  19. Nice one! My God, that bass is pretty.
  20. WOW that's a fantastic find. Well done. Hope it gets returned to its rightful owner and that some poor sod doesn't buy it thinking its genuine and then loses his money when the police return it to its owner. Also hope the seller gets caught, charged and loses his job over this. No sympathy for thieving B's. Dave
  21. Have you pm'd the OP? He might not see this quick enough!
  22. Don’t see many of these come along, GLWTS
  23. I just went for one of the many Chinese bass necks sold on eBay £80 including shipping. Fingers crossed
  24. Oooof dear me that is a great spot! It'll be interesting to see how that plays out as the person putting that in the sale has a lot... ONE question to answer. Hope the rightful owner can get it back though.
