  2. ^^^ this It’s a beautiful instrument and will bring immense joy to who ever owns it next. tbh, I’m not sure why it’s not had more interest, sunburst bodies aren’t to everyone’s liking I guess, nor are maple finger boards. I’d like it to have gone to someone in the BC community , but I guess I’ll have to speak to Bass Bro’s about a commissioned sale or summat.
  3. Possibly. I only had a play around with that boss unit in a shop one afternoon several years ago so am not overly familiar with it.
  4. I would accept a discount to my advertised price if I get to keep the near new DR Pure Blues strings on it and swap for another older set (eg, I have some DR coated nickels 'Dragon Skins' 40-100). How does £650 plus post at cost (c.£15/20) sound?
  5. It’s more like this now: Also, you can just make adjustments via the panel and overwrite the presets using just the pedal without ever having to touch the editor.
  6. It's All Coming Back To Me Now - Celine Dion
  7. I've owned a Tecamp Puma 900 and as others have said its great piece of gear. That taste knob just works! 👍 Which Mesa are you getting?
  8. Would they be possible on the Boss SY-300?
  9. I don't believe so - I have added the specs from the original seller (and I think you check on Fender Japan too), but it is listed as: Pickups: Hybrid II Custom Voiced Single Coil Jazz Bass (Bridge), Hybrid II Custom Voiced Single I don't know if these are ceramic (I assume not, but they do sound great either way!)
  10. I think if you see this screen and get excited by the possibilities then the FI4 is for you if that fills you with fear and dread - the Mxr is for you! (if that looks a bit dumbed down and simple - ignore us all and get back to your Zoia …)
  11. Unusually for a UK bassist, I started on a borrowed Kay in my teens. It belonged to the local fiddle organisation in Dunoon, they had two Kay basses and at least one cello. I don't know how they got over here, but I'd wager it was connected to the US submarine base that was on the Holy Loch for decades. I had no idea at the time that they were considered anything special. I struggled to get the sound I wanted out of it, but that could easily have been down to me or the strings that were on it. They were round nylon wound on the G and D and round metal wound on the E and A, and had off-white cores with looped ends that could have been gut or a synthetic material.
  12. I'm depping on bass for The Bonnevilles (rock'n'roll and proper R&B) on Wednesday 9th July at Darley Moor race track bike night, just south of Ashbourne.

  17. Sadly, the cab was already on a separate thread. Thanks for the messages from everyone here
  18. Still very much enjoying the Handbox WB100. Had a while of not really having chance to use it so was up for sale but now find myself in 2 bands where its a perfect fit. Sounds incredible 👌 The only thing that topped it was a Marshall VBA400 but I ain't lugging around a 40kg amp 🤣 I’d love to try a Traynor but the EAE Bass Driver into the front of the Handbox gets me to a pretty comfortable TS50b-ish place from samples ive heard.

  20. That would be great, Peter. And an honest comparison of latency, tracking and glitching would be very welcome too! I've not kept up to date on the latest FI manuals, but was thinking that if instead of "1 to 99" you renamed the pre-set patches as being in the style of "[Artist initials]/[Song]" it would immediately make the FI more accessible and, dare I say, even more desirable? You could then have the 10 most popular bass synth sounds as the first bank? Just a thought!
  21. Used, in great condition except the zip has a tendency to do what Pedaltrain gigbag zips have a tendency to do. Velcro already on, plus a tiny bit underneath where I had a power isolator. Price is posted to mainland UK. Please forgive the upside down pics 😆
  22. The wonderful Colin Holton seems to be the only guy in Salisbury who gives us a gig, yet another Salisbury Live thing for us! If anybody out there in Bass Chat land has a spare half an hour on Saturday afternoon, we're on from 3pm til 3.30pm at the world famous Wiltshire venue - The Barford Inn (I made that bit up about it being world famous, it's 2 miles from me and I've never been there 🤣). It's just off the A30 about 5-6 miles west of Salisbury, I'm looking forward to seeing a couple of the bands after us so I'll see you all there for a pint 😉... it's your round 🤘🏻
  23. It’s a transparent yellow Vintage brand clone - it is surprisingly good
  24. Bought some strings from Ash. Spot on, rapid delivery, well packed, excellent communication. +++++ Thanks
  25. I came across this at the weekend. I could spend ages picking out fx here, there’s definitely octaver use, I always felt the EHX Bassballs was a big part of the sound, a big part of the pedalboard was an old Korg G5. With a multi you’re going to have to programme it in, picking out the sounds and effects in use. Other than that it’s well over a grand in various pedals I’d say to get the various textures going on. I found this picture which looks simpler than his older board https://www.facebook.com/OfficialCassLewis/photos/pb.100063918541965.-2207520000/1972539592847681/?type=3&locale=pt_BR But there are definitely a bunch of pedals under the Digitech Synth Wah and the Korg G5.
