Price drop - now 200 Selling this lovely Bitmap in great shape with original box - it's basically mint apart of velcro. These received significant software update last year with additional clipping modes etc. Red Panda has also very convenient web editor for presets. Happy to trade (with price adjustments) for interesting dirt pedals. Bitmap occupies my "loose spot" for additional dirt in pedalboard and I'm just happy to experiment. Basic overdrive I'm covering with Capo. The ones I would love to try are EAE, Damnation Audio, Broughton, Bearfoot, Hiero etc. Would've thrown 3leaf in but what are the chances

I honestly have no idea. I saw a video a few days back where a chap was manufacturing nuts out of wooly mammoth bones/tusks, which (apparently) you can buy in Alaska - I thought this was pretty cool (no pun intended). Arguably the nicest nut I've had was on a Warwick Streamer...it was one of those brass adjustable ones that made tweaking a dream:

Brass on all of mine, usually home made apart from my '98 Warwick Thumb and my CB fretless. See my BlazerRay and Vigier Passion threads in Build Diaries 👍🏼

I did have a Streamer broad neck many years back, with a Just -A-Nut III that i upgraded it to, I am just wondering now If Warwick have always used TEDUR to make their nuts, and Sadowsky have adopted this on their basses but in white to simulate Bone. Does anybody know if Warwick nuts have always been TEDUR or is this new to Sadowsky Metro's.

Plastic. That's the only information I have on mine. It's been OK for 25 years, so probably not nylon.

I have the mk1 too, but I stuck a blend pot in straight away. I then disconnected the bridge pickup altogether. -

I'm thinking of getting one myself. I was just wondering should I be looking out for anything special when selecting strings? I love La Bella Deep Talkin bass Flatwound strings but happy to try something else if other strings are more suited. I've just contacted La Bella who have said their flats might not work. However, if I can supply the measurement from the distance from where the ball-end is located to the nut they will confirm.

Assuming it was this case: https://www.gear4music.com/Woodwind-Brass-Strings/Westbury-Deluxe-Padded-3-4-Double-Bass-Gig-Bag-with-Wheels/1MBI A product should be of satisfactory quality and reasonably fit for purpose or, if you make an express purpose known to the seller before purchase, reasonably fit for that purpose (ss9-10, Consumer Rights Act 2015). S11(4) CRA2015 states: "Any information that is provided by the trader about the goods and is information mentioned in paragraph (a) of Schedule 1 or 2 to the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 (SI 2013/3134) (main characteristics of goods) is to be treated as included as a term of the contract." Schedule 2 (relating to off-premises (i.e. internet) sales of the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 specifies that information as being "the main characteristics of the goods, services or digital content, to the extent appropriate to the medium of communication and to the goods, services or digital content". So the description set out on the webpage arguably becomes a term of the contract between you and the seller. G4M stated that the case "offers comfortable protection for your three quarter size double bass... This model also comes with attached wheels, providing you with a more comfortable transport method for long distances. The generous 22mm padding protects your instrument from any bumps or knocks whilst on the road. ... the BC003 is suitable to transport your three quarter size double bass to live events, band practice and the studio." Accordingly, it was arguably a term of the contract that: the case offered 'comfortable protection' it could protect your bass during transportation of your bass for long distances; it had 'generous 22mm padding' to protect your bass; it was suitable to transport your bass to gigs, practices and the studio. If, as you suggest, there was inadequate padding G4M are in breach of the implied and express terms of the contract between you. The remedy for breach of contract is damages to put you in the position you would have been had they performed the contract as required. As such, you would be entitled to the claim the cost of any repair (since had the case been fit for purpose your bass would not have been damaged), plus arguably any incidental costs (such as hire of an alternative bass, transport costs etc). I'd be letter before claiming G4M for the cost of repair and then small claims court if they decline.

Understood. From what I can see the S2012s would make for a very potent rig, and if the cabinet is built around the dimensions of a V4B that would sit on top, yeah that would look pretty nice as well.

Could it be this? https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61555456151939 I've been meaning to go, but I really struggle to make the dates after work. Looks like a great regular event though.

I've recently discovered Boards Of Canada. Surprising it's taken so long to find them, as the duo are relatively local to where I was brought up, and are about the same age. I love their themes of trippy nostalgia. -

That looks as though it has a lot going for it. It says it is contoured but the body looks pretty slabby to me in the pics. Good modding platform though and a compromise nut width of 40mm might please both the P and J bass communities.
