    Pedalboard woes.

Sorry good points, I play mostly classic rock covers GNR, Bad Company, Free etc in my current band and do the odd dep for another band that does funk and soul. For the main band we cover NIB which I've recently dialled in a filter and a distortion to get away with it. The C4 and Aftershock I think have better sounds but a bit harder to work without the midi integration. DCX seems to work ok for me but I can see why some do not like it.
  9. Now thank you @tomread for the new set! I have to tell you this, as this happened last Friday: We set up a small band (3 singers, one of them playing piano, a g-word, drums and me) for a summer gig on an island. Two long sets (34 songs in total), and out of nowhere someone said during the soundcheck that we will play Born to be wild on the second set. Yes, I know the song, but... Hey, could it be on Tom's pages? With your transcription I played it once in that soundcheck and the second time in the gig. People went crazy. Keep up the good and very legible work!
  10. Hi can I buy this? From US
  11. Thanks for the input even though it brings little to the original purpose of this thread and don't be so shocked : 1st IF Epifani will give me the schematic, it's obviously because they are open for members of their client base to have it, i have been, for some 20 odd years & 3 rigs 2nd I would OBVIOUSLY ask them 1st if that's ok with them BEFORE doing it Around my circle of friends and family that's how people function, the rest of the world.... 3rd I doubt they would be so upset about it anyway because as i'm sure you now, a good electrotech can reverse engineer any circuit and make a similar one buying the right components + i'm sure all Epifani's proprietary tech will be patented, etc.... so how hurt will they be if a handful of nerds make their own "Epifani amp"... 4th - And just out of curiosity, have you asked that to Bheringer for example ? Because they are notorious for doing that only in a LARGE INDUSTRIAL SCALE.. So chill a little my man, i'm sure we'll all survive 😉
  12. If someone examines and plays an instrument at leisure, pronounces themselves satisfied and buys it, surely that's the end of it. I'd be deeply suspicious if someone, having pronounced themself satisfied with and bought an instrument, claimed out of the blue that it was "not playable". Sounds like a chancer to me. The OP appears to feel a little intimidated by the purchaser. Offering remedial work in the circumstances is more than generous, imho. From the description of what he does - refurbing used instruments, adding Chinese hardware, etc - it seems he is not selling at high prices.
  13. Today
  14. Ok, so GAS has got the better of me (again) and I’ve splurged a load of cash on something else, so this is now available for £120 including UK second class delivery.
  15. Joyo Ironman Space Verb mini pedal, mint condition, complete with box. £30 posted within UK.
  16. I'm sure you've already ascertained it but Lornes last name was Peakman, here's a pic of him from his Facebook, sure he'd be chuffed his fiddles will be loved again

  18. "Shortage of bassists in Aberdeen after they were all press-ganged into working on a galleon....." Apparently the kings shilling was found in the bottom of a few glasses of craft beer, rhtyhm orientared guys work well with oars so it seems.
  19. Even if the information is not yours to share?
  20. Here we have my lightly used Sansamp Bass Driver v2. If you know what this is then you know, if you don’t, go check YouTube. Recent purchase of a Jad Freer Capo has rendered this obsolete so it’s available for this bargain price. Price includes second class tracked delivery in the UK. There is some light signs of wear and tear most obvious being a tiny bit of yellow paint peeling off the ‘A’ of SansAmp. Comes with original owners manual but no box, but will be well packaged for shipping. Any questions, please ask.
  21. Mailman, Bring Me No More Blues - Buddy Holly
  22. Very well said, sounds like you knew him as well as any of us in the BCR community did. He also sold basses to fund giant salt water aquariums his other passion
  23. Sid bought a pedal from me - top Basschatter, quick payment and bevy understanding when I was a little later posting than promised - would happily deal with him again anytime 👍
  24. Joyo Ironman Raptor Flanger mini pedal, mint condition, complete with box. £30 posted within UK.
  25. I'm in the US so I never met Lorne, knew him about 10yrs online, we were Facebook friends, had a few spats with him over the years but overall he was a good guy, troubled soul, his marriage had fallen apart and he lost contact with his kids, he was a drinker but not into hard drugs, meeting this gal was his downfall. She also had a Widow of his up for sale just a few days ago for a low price ($400?) don't know how they came to that price as the IB is more valuable. At any rate I considered him a friend and he was always happy to share whatever BCR knowledge he had, sadly he took his meisterwerk (his serial data base along with his vast picture collection) to the grave with him. Good luck with the bird, if you ever tire of it there's a lot of folks that would love to have it.
  26. Very best wishes for those dates @Linus27
  27. Cheers Alex.... 👍
