  2. Interested in this but will have to wait till next pay day (15th July) if still available
  3. Burnin' For You - Blue Oyster Cult
  4. That's what I did, bought the BH800 for gigs/rehearsals as unfortunately my bigger cab was a bit too thirsty for the BH250. In retrospect I could have bought a more efficient cab and the 250 would most likely have been fine. The only thing I don't like about the BH550/800 is the Toneprint selector switch is difficult to get to without moving the two surrounding knobs.
  5. This very morning, some tosh dropped onto the i-Pad from GG, promoting the latest 'Pino' signature Ray. Price? £6000! Really? World gone nuts.
  6. Pictures of Matchstick Men - Status Quo
  7. It was a joke... does not stand up to scrutiny - what absurdity based jokes do?

  10. Only in some parallel universe where “uniquely personal taste” is celebrated beyond all reason
  11. Glad someone on here got it Rob and your health to enjoy it
  12. Firestarter - The Prodigy
  13. Paul was selling an album that I was interested in and I asked for a few photos to show the condition, he replied very quickly with some good photos. I paid for it on Saturday and it arrived on Tuesday morning, very well packaged and the album itself is in the excellent condition that was described. A pleasure to deal with.
  14. Eternal Flame - The Bangles
  15. I use a Stomp so completely change my rig by pushing a footswitch. Patch for slap with compression etc. I do find however that at some venues I use different patches as the tone I ‘wanted’ isn’t the one I ‘need’, if that makes sense! But it’s great to be able to switch from eg a GK to an Orange ‘just like that’ though. Alternatively, when practicing with my P I find when I use a pick by rolling the tone off 1/4 I ‘mimmick’ the tone o had with my fingers. Each to their own of course!
  16. I am using exactly the same as you. 3 Leaf Oct M3.33, Doom2 (is that from last summer Gray type thing glows in the dark? Thats the one I have) and finished off with the IE XD. It just sounds amazing, very impressed.
  17. Burning Down The House - Talking Heads
  18. Walls Come Tumbling Down - The Style Council
  19. I like watching the big boys - Fender have been in a production streamlining/cost cutting phase over the past couple of years. American Fenders from the early 2000's to around 2018 are going to gradually go up in price. That was a great period for some really great instruments. Status-Graphite prices are going to rocket due to limited numbers and scarcity, especially on the popular graphite neck models like S2-Classic and KingBass. The Mexican Fender range are seeing a quality resurgence since around 2022-3. Values are going to be bouyant and steady. The next big thing..? Cort and Schecter are going to have their day. Cort are like Magna Steyr who build G-Wagons for Mercedes. When you spend a lot of time building things for other companies, you build them very well, and your own product quality surges. As for values, I'm going to predict that the craziness of Rickenbacker prices is going to calm down a little & MusicMan prices are going to go up significantly.
  20. Bowie Box Set collectors and mortgage advisors everywhere will be thrilled to hear that Bowie Box 6 "I Can't Give Everything Away" has been announced. It's Heathen to Blackstar plus assorted bits and bobs, 13x CD or 18x vinyl (price tba). The bit you probably won't have is a full Live At Montreux 2002 which features the usual set from the time plus almost all of Low as an encore (Weeping Wall inexplicably skipped) https://www.davidbowie.com/blog/2025/7/8/david-bowie-6-i-cant-give-everything-away-2002-2016-press-release
  21. I Want To Break Free - Queen
  22. Relisted with pricedrop!! For sale is this ’89 Music Man Stingray. It’s a rare light one, weighing in at a bit less than 3,9kg. The body is finished in the classic honeyburst, and the lacquered neck has some nice birdseye figuring. As you can see, the bass has a lot of usermarks/damages (especially on the back), but technically all is good. The neck is straight and the truss rod works well. The frets show some wear, but it doesn’t affect playability. All hardware and electronics function like they should, the pots could be a bit scratchy though. Fixed price: €1975 I am based in the Netherlands, but happy to ship. I don’t have a case, but will use a gigbag for shipping. I can also take the neck of to reduce costs if wished so. No trades.

  24. We Gotta Get Out Of This Place - The Animals
  25. I have one bass I actually use and an endless procession of others that attempt to topple the king!
  26. I'm a big advocate of self-sufficiency, at least up to a level of doing basic setup (relief/intonation/action) work. Setup is personal - and it's really not difficult. Of course when you get into territory like what is being discussed here, it's player's choice if they want to stretch themselves and learn these other skills. Me personally I do all my setups, I'm OK with the electronics if it's not too taxing, replacing hardware is fine, and I'm currently at the grinding back ratty fret ends/knocking down proud frets kinda stage. Mostly using improvised tools, because I'm a cheapskate.
