Selling my Khan VTDI - sounds brilliant but is now surplus to requirements. It fattens up your DI sound and gives it that valve warmth and compression. sounds amazing in IEMs. I thought this from Khan in the USA earlier this year - with taxes and shipping they now work out as £615 when brand new so hopefully the price seems fair. The tube probably has under 15 hours total play time. i can’t find any marks or dings but am always tentative to lost something as ‘mint’ but its very close to it. The Khan Logo lights up in a very satisfying way. Price includes UK Special Delivery Shipping or I can meet in central London or Chessington and knock a bit off the price.

Turro is a thief and a megabell. Sapko and all the other Youtubers mentioned are megabells. I find them all grating, so I don't watch them. In fact, Sapko, Davie504, Charles Berthoud and Scott Devine are the 4 megabell horsemen of the apocalypse as far as I'm concerned. Anyone who thinks that anything will change other than Sapko's bank balance because of his "moral stand" is deluded. Turro will go back to doing what he does, stealing other people's work and Sapko will get the clicks and ad money from our collective outrage. Then, he might figure out something else to say "bass" about in a hyper stylised northern accent.

Hmmm, nice. And im in Barry!

They remind me of some EV single 18" subs a venue I worked in had about 26 years ago, and they were probably a good few years old then. They were probably about 10 times the weight of your designs, but those EVs used to act like they had sold their soul to the sub-frequency devil and rumble away like mad! I have fond memories of them - I assume yours will be just as good if not better!

I've not tried one of the new Vintera Roadworn Precisions - but the Classic 50's bass, mentioned above is an absolute cracker of a bass. Also, the earlier China-made CV's are superb. I had one of the Classic 50's P's, and I now own an early CV again (having sold one in the past). As others have said - try one of the Vintera RW's if you can... the suggestion of finding a seller with a good returns policy might be the best way forward for you. But having owned several iterations of Precisions over thr years, my old 50's Classic, and my early CV have been as good as any. I swing slightly more to the CV - a decent 2nd hand one is the best bang for buck IMHO. Oh, and I now wish I hadn't sold my MIM Roadworn P.... but there you go! Lol Good luck with your search, and let us know what you decide.

Rickenbacker bridge pickup height screws
Woodinblack replied to Woodinblack's topic in Repairs and Technical
Yeh, i found with the name of the screw a place that does them at normal prices (ie, for the £17 at rickysounds you can get a box of 30, or £1.50 each), but I had sent an email to sound affects where I bought it yesterday, and they sent an email back to me saying they were had contacted rosetti to see if they could get me one. Which I thought was pretty good -

Haha, I think 'ingenious' is stretching it a bit, but thanks! I can report that the 1x8 fits nicely in a Stagg cajon case, with a little room spare for cables or what have you. Although you need to be OK with the risk that someone will think you own a cajon.

Black Fender P Player Bass with in beautiful condition. The Player series are a step up from the ordinary! Serial number MX18005295. June 2018 They say: There's nothing more classic than a Fender electric bass, and the Player Precision Bass is as authentic as it gets - genuine Fender style and the rumbling, seismic sound that spawned a thousand imitations. With its smooth playing feel and spotlight-ready style, this thunderous bass is ready to enter the studio or prowl the stage and help show the world your creative vision. It’s been well set up. The truss rod has been adjusted to give a nice low action and is very comfortable to play and has a great tone with a warm punch. The electrics have been sprayed with Contact Spray, so they work as they should with no nasty scratchy sounds from the pots. The frets have been levelled and polished and the intonation is spot on. The neck has been treated with lemon oil so it’s clean and ‘fed’. Free postage No case £550 Chaddesden, Derby DE21 4JJ All proceeds will go towards a charity for the homeless in Derby and a Home for street kids in Bogota, Colombia.

This is an absolutely incredible combo that combines outstanding performance and tonal authority into a compact and very lightweight package. It offers bundles of power and can run down to 2 ohms with 1 or 2 (!) extension cabs, if you have no sense of self preservation! Check the link for more info and tech spec - https://www.andertons.co.uk/gallien-krueger-legacy-212-800w-bass-amp-combo/?msclkid=e66112dcffcf17d455c67a2f5347da70 Collection from Margate preferred or I can box it up if you'd like to organise your own courier.

DIY Subs for Celestion drivers.
Bill Fitzmaurice replied to Bill Fitzmaurice's topic in PA set up and use
They're very light, as they are built from 12mm plywood and the drivers are neo. The exact weight depends on the plywood species, but they're going to be lighter than most commercial offerings. Like any sub they should cross to the mains between 80 and 120 Hz. -

The loss of an icon. He was one of those legends who was in everything, I have one of his studio sessions with Hiromi and Simon Philips playing Alive forever in my playlist where they were all fantastic together!
