  2. @Skinns the marketplace rules are pinned for everyone to read
  3. Yes. The most incredible thing is the combination of possibilities with the switches and the three-position control that combines the pickups. It has very good sustain due to the solid bridge and the strings through the body. A very, very interesting bass, really.
  4. It's customary to send a PM for price enquiries, offers, cheeky lowballs etc 😉
  5. I doubt that there's much, if any, difference for FOH over a couple (or even just one...) overhead. Still, what do I know..?
  6. Happy clocks-go-back Day I think this might be the first pic of a pair of Monacos out in the wild.
  7. No worries, Richard; I was hoping to have something more exciting to show you by this evening but have encountered issues with my soldering iron (as in, it's knackered) and so I've had to order another. I have, however, come up with a plan for the connection of the drivers - tin the cables up, run them through the spring connectors and then heat-shrink them (carefully) into place. Cheers, JRK
  8. there's a fantastic article on TB on the design , process and staff at Gibson for the Tobias years a very interesting read "Tobias Growler Club" The Growler was an attempt to gain leverage in the Stingray and Fortress market , I think it's a top quality instrument and would like an unlined fretless 5 should that unicorn appear
  9. One Foot In The Grave - Eric Idle
  10. Putting this great little drum machine up for sale - it's just not seeing much use. Easy to programme and has some great presets. Also has a bass generator function which I've never used. Quality sounds and an intuitive interface. £99 includes UK postage. Comes with manuals, box & power supply - In great and fully functioning condition. From the Alesis Web Site; Instant drums for on-the-go musicians Alesis knows drums. Our SR16 has dominated the drum machine market since 1990 and continues to be in demand today. The next-generation SR18 is loaded with cutting-edge drumsets, electronic drums, one-shot hits, and modern percussion sounds for any cutting-edge musician’s performances and compositions. From hip-hop to country and everything in between, SR18 nails it on the first take. SR18 has an effects engine with Alesis reverb, EQ, and compression so you can output recording or performance-ready sounds. Alesis' exclusive Dynamic Articulation™ technology modifies sample sounds so they change as you play them. This results in sounds that respond accurately not only to dynamic changes, but also with the appropriate timbral and color changes you'd expect from their acoustic counterparts. You can plug in an instrument, such as a guitar, and play along for setup simplicity. You can play in bass parts using the pads on SR18 or connect a MIDI keyboard for fast, musical low end. SR18 can be powered by AC or batteries, so whenever or wherever you need to lay down a groove, you’re ready to roll. It’s time for you to step up to the next Alesis drum machine. 11. For sale is the Microtubes B7K Ultra V2 which has the AUX input as well. Great sounding pedal with amazing ability to sculp both the tone on the preamp side and the distortion on the drive side of the pedal. There is some very impressive sounds that can be had out of this pedal. The pedal comes with the original box and all the goodies that came with it. I bought this pedal 3-4 years ago but the sound is a bit too much for the bands I am in. I was always hoping to use it but it has literally sat in the box the whole time. I had thought I might use it also as an emergency DI for gigs but I have never needed it. Possible pedal trade options would be Origin Effects DCX or IE Frantabit. Possible other option would be towards Bergantino HDN/HD 112 or Mesa Subway 112 cab. If I was playing heavier music this pedal would absolutly be staying. £270, £250 including postage. Bank transfer or PayPal F&F.

  12. I've got a Double Trolley by Marc Grue. I got it broken and have mended it to be in usuable condition. I found this unusable, where the wheels were bent, and the wheel frame did no fit the stool, and the latch under the seat snapped and a few other problems. I've put a new latch on and rebent the frame, cleaned it up and tighten some loose parts so that it is in good working condition. I've have tried and tested a couple of times going to and from, and at rehearsals. This is a trolley which helps move your bass around and conveniently doubles up as a stool. Tyres hold pressure, and will require a bungee to fasten to your bass. Find out more about it here: https://doubletrolley.com/index.php Due to the size of the item, I would prefer collection in person. I can provide more pictures on request. Open to offers. Thank you

  13. He normally has a small clip on thing that attaches to each drum rather than full mics, except for bass drum where he prefers a proper drum mic. I'm no expert in all of this and tend to leave him to it. Dave
  14. Anyone who plays (or prefers) the single version of 'Heroes' by Derek Bowie (or the horrible version of 'I am the Resurrection' that's on the (laughably named) Complete Stone Roses) gets put in the stocks, then beaten, then tarred & feathered, then Hung, drawn & qaurtered, then their remains are fed to rabid dogs and the dogs' poop gets burnt.
  15. I had the stereo and sold it. Regretted it and bought the mono. It really is the Swiss Army knife of amp world. I’ve got a Markbass Evo 1 to try out at the moment which basically, has the Multiamp amps and effects but has two independent channels, which is exactly what I need. I think it’s what I’ve been looking for, for a long time 😁
  16. You're welcome, Dunc! GLWTS!
  17. £50 price reduction Trades - X Touch Universal. Try me with anything, I can only say no 😁 Great bass in good condition, comes with hard case. Short scale. Not a heavy bass. Plays well. Not really any damage to speak of. There’s a little bit at the top of the headstock (photographed) but looks much worse than it actually is. I’ve removed the strap lock pins and replaced them with the originals that were odd when I got it. The case is old but fully function and all the clasps work. Can post at buyers expense or can be collected from BB22SH Any questions please ask.

  18. LEKATO WS-100 2.4G Wireless System with Charging Box – LEKATO I offer up these two wireless systems, 1 (pair) x LEKATO and 1 (pair) x A8 Original sound transmitter. The El Cheapo works the same as its more expensive cousin, both with charging cables. BOGOF
  19. Nothing useful to add, just following with interest. 🙂

  21. Hi Al, I would go back to @EBS_freak's in ears bible. All of the analogue vs digital radio connection issues are discussed there. The problem with analogue is the companders. Poor quality UHF systems degrade the sound quality so that is the problem rather than latency.
  22. Great bass - it's a real player's instrument. No frills, but it really rewards those with technique.
  23. Yes Paul! It is a Mudbucker however it only has two cables despite having a push/pull pot on the tone. I’m thinking of wiring with 500k mini CTS pots but then at a loss after that. I’d be happy with no coil split on the basis that I’m trying to find the guitars tone
