  1. Past hour
  2. I’ve not see the Libertines before. Is not singing in tune part of the song?
  3. I don't gig a lot these days, but I did a very sweaty gig in Basingstoke last night with a soul/rare groove band. An appreciative crowd, and a good time was had by all, but dear god, it was hot! In that level of humidity, the skin softens, the strings get sticky, and this morning my fingertips and thumb really hurt. No proper blisters, but it was a close run thing. I obviously need to practice more...
  4. The heroin is probably less expensive than the cheese nowadays🙁. Especially if you factor in the price of cream crackers.
  5. I have used him in the past on an old Ric I had.. Black plate and TRC which he would only do on proof the Ric is genuine...
  6. I used to see him pushing his trolley round my local supermarket. He used to wear shades and try not to be recognised, even though he wasn't very famous in those days.
  7. I thought he'd perfected the transparent hollow body TBH
  8. Doherty did an interview not long ago - he's moved to the South of France and, his words, replaced his heroin addiction with a cheese addiction.
  9. The Libertines are looking (and sounding) a bit fat and middle-aged aren't they? They need to go to the gym or, probably more likely, get back on the gear.
  10. That's Jimothey's patented tone moss.
  11. We've had four reports on three separate posts withn three hours on this thread, which I think has to be a record. If not, then its definitely a long time since things have kicked off this much. Polite request: We don't have to agree on everything but can everyone keep the comments to constructive criticism rather than platforms from which to jump off into other agendas? Better, yet, just say you didn't like something and leave it at that...or even focus on the stuff you did like. Thanks in advance.
  12. Mineral - Pet Shop Boys
  13. After yesterday, rumour has it that Robert Peston is just Jarvis Cocker doing a John Fogerty impression.
  14. These Cirrus basses sound really good, great design ect, but the 35 inch scale was a big mistake in my opinion.
  15. Ah! I'll go stand in the corner then. Snorkie Minimus pinched the strings off mine and had them on his US Professional Precision within twenty mins of my Vintage arriving.
  16. Toto's cover of 'Sunshine of Your Love,' originally by Cream. The odd time signature adds a unique twist—always fascinating to see how different artists interpret classics! Bass: Mike Porcaro https://basslessons.be/transcriptions.php?i=1032
  17. Vegetable - King's X
  18. I bet you're right
  19. Try and get Rod to unblock your toilet, you'll soon find out.
  20. Animal - Def Leppard
  21. Not much I hope! They are what's originally fitted.
  22. The Ep[iphone T-bird is nice, but I've got the set neck Embassy and that makes all the same noises IMHO.
  23. Excellent. Let's know the difference they make once you have the time. I have LaBella black nylon coated on mine and it sounds like it dropped out of the Motown studio. (Not the playing, unfortunately.) 😂
  24. I believe he plays a Sadowsky 5 string on this.
  25. Loving it. It gets new Fender nickel plated strings this week.
