  2. That is one of the best 1 second audio signals in my collection now.
  3. Rings a bell. That's about it.

  8. Hah! You can tick all the options, you're not limited to one!
  9. Magnificent semi acoustic bass which speaks to your fingers. Sounds from upright to a fat and tight bass guitar. The finger or pick position makes all the difference. Or the thumb: this instrument allows for slapping nicely too. Is now strung with Thomastik flats but works well with any string (I also used Elixirs). Very good ergonomics, fast neck, great balance while extremely light. Has the earlier version of the pre amp which is considered provide the best sound. Body Mahohany Fretboard Ipe Frets 21 Scale 35" Radius 12" Width at 12th fret 45mm Weight 3,4kg Tuners: Gotoh Pre amp Rick Turner (1st edition) 1 x volume, 1 x tone Pickup D-Tar Piezo Built in 2002 in USA by the great late Mr. Rick Turner
  10. It's not that I seem to be on a different planet, but rather there seem to be soooooo many planets that I'm not on. As I seem to write more and more : It's a funny ol' world.
  11. Got there after a 90 minute drive. Walked in with bass and speaker stands, and the landlord said "who are you?". "Dirty Roses". "Oh, really sorry, I've double booked you. I'll pay you all the same". So home we all went (not so far for the guitarist and singer, a bit further for the drummer). At least I didn't have to carry all the gear in and out with a gouty foot. But Mrs Zero and Sub Zero had gone out for the evening to celebrate their birthdays (one day apart, 65 and 30 respectively) and I could have joined them, or we could have taken up a panicky last-minute request for a band from a place two miles from my house. Oh well.
  12. This quite early LEJ5 built by top luthier Chris Benavente has the new LE 2/3 pre amp (original Benavente pre amp available too) and the original stacked single coils Kent Armstrong pickups. Great ‘more traditional’ Jazz Bass sounds with a versatile 3 band pre amp, and if you like, especially in the 2 band setting, deep, fat lows and sizzling highs. This bass is built like tank, plays like a dream and the power of the low B is amazing. These gems don't pass every day in Europe! Ash body, maple 3 piece neck, palisander fretboard, 34" scale, radius 16" (estimation, it is quite flat, very comfortable).
  13. Good evening, I would like to share with you all some bass transcriptions; my main work to grow and improve on my musical path. I focus more on melodies, themes, solos, than bass parts. No plan: i work on pieces (or parts of pieces) than touch me and makes me vibrate. I transcribe for 4 strings bass: there will be some compromise on certains notes. (no low D 😁) Let's start with Jean -Philippe RAMEAU : La danse du grand calumet de la paix My transciption is based on several versions. This one is just an example, a nice version. It's downloadable in pdf, or Musescore format. You can also play it freely directly on Musescore website. JP RAMEAU - La danse du grand calumet de la paix Enjoy !

  17. I just use my zoom b2.1 (discontinued in Saxon times and made of linden wood) with a bit of compression and the ampeg patch with cab enabled then straight into the PA I was in the cobblers today and he shows up at my OM night to drink. He said my bass sounded really good. Those weren’t his exact words - there was an adjective starting with F

  25. Thank you! I found it on ebay, they make it particularly for bb434/435/bp34 and have different materials. It’s one week turnaround. In the drop down I chose category 2 and messaged the seller. Told him its for a BB434. Fits perfectly. https://ebay.us/m/vMVDrV
  26. Cancelations. I hate them. We had a nice theatre gig coming up, opening for a signed national touring band. The story I got was they don't want a 4 piece band opening. Our two guitarists are going to open. I'm a little suspicious of the whole thing. Daryl
  27. I’d love this but after digging about down the back of the sofa just a few ££££ short 😀
