  2. A review of this amp can be seen here, and Vox's product page is worth a look. As the reviewer mentions, this amp is both small and light (< 5kg) and also loud; I've used it for several jams and also a gig (all with a drummer and various saxes etc.) and it has been fine. I never much liked the tone (a bit too rock) or used the effects, so I've replaced it with the recently-discontinued jazz version whilst I still can. I've not included postage in the price as I don't know how much it will be, but in the event of anyone being interested we can discuss options. The box is still present and I'll put in the unused new power supply from the replacement amp (it's identical). There are a couple of small marks on the bottom of the grill surround (pictured) but otherwise it's in good condition and all working.
  3. yep Toneriders are excellent. Pots easy enough to change etc I can fret level now, so should be all good really
  4. Yep, used that too in Studio 2. Amazing little thing, dials in exactly what you want. Don't know why it isn't up there in people's faves yet.
  5. You may recall that earlier this year I took delivery of a Fazley "Hot Rod" bass. It was £84 at the time I bought it, and I was thoroughly impressed with it, especially considering how little it cost. It has of course since been modified - if my experience is anything to go by, expect comically bad pickups. Well, they've got to save money somewhere. Thankfully that's easily fixed for not too much scratch if you go to Warman or Tonerider and the likes. I stuck a Tonerider Duke in mine and it's a fantastic bass. I love playing it live, so simple, just play the damn thing, it's got naff all controls anyway.
  6. I'll bring mine to the south east bass bash next year (if it's any good that is)
  7. No, no, it has nothing at all to do with the fact that my American Professional Classic Precision has been delayed by some damned inconvenience called Christmas and there being no one at the Gallery who is capable of taking it to a Post Office or Courier and actually send it to me, or something similar. Obviously the Gallery folks don't have arms. No, no, no... What's that you say? GAS you say? Naaah, none of that here... But in all seriousness, I just want to see how much bass you can get for £63. Excellent tip-off, Michael

  22. Great find. Need to find a shop with great deals on strings. This site has some on Dunlop and sadowsky, looking for ghs and la bella also
  23. Cheers! Yeah, if I were still gigging regularly, I'd be clinging on to this amp. But I'll be keeping my Little B*ast*rd 30 for recording - probably my joint favourite with the CTM-100! - so I can't really justify keeping both of them.
  24. MARSHALL BB-2 Not to be confused with the original Bluesbreaker pedal, which was essentially a preamp-in-a-box - this is a dedicated, dual-mode overdrive pedal. "Boost" mode is a transparent-sounding clean boost, designed to push the front end of your amp harder, while "Blues" mode gives a much more shaped (and saturated!) tone, reminiscent of the original Bluesbreaker amps being dimed. I bought this pedal back in something like 2010. It was my main distortion effect for a while, and did a handful of gigs with me, but as I've experimented with new effects and different amps, I find myself using it less and less. I still have the original box and user's manual, which are a little worn in places (see pictures); the pedal itself is in excellent condition. Only one thing: the controls originally had black position indicators painted on them, which have mostly rubbed off over the years. Up to you whether you leave them as is, or paint some new ones on! Price includes postage to mainland UK. If you'd like it sent to a different country, drop me a PM. Open to sensible offers!
