  1. Past hour
  2. What an absolute bargain! Still got mine and refer to it as the ‘Rolls Royce’ for obvious reason that it’s just simply class. I remember A/Bing it against a MB LMT before a gig last year and the difference was night and day…the Eden had ‘heft’ (there you go I’ve said it 😳)and I gigged it with a big smile being able to really feel the bass coming out my speakers. Will be gigging mine again in a few weeks, can’t wait. I agree, one of the best amps ever made along with the Eden WT800’s.
  3. It’s a competitively priced indulgence. I’m going to fire it up later and get some pictures of the LEDs and so on. There is no sadness if it remains here, but I believe it’s made to ramble on.
  4. I went to an OM. It was totally dead. The host was nowhere in sight so I hung around for ten minutes and gave up. The landlady told me it hadn’t gone well. As I was leaving a young lady at a table near the door said she’d wished I’d got to play (she obviously hasn’t heard me or she wouldn’t make such a ridiculous claim). I said that sadly bass is not a solo instrument and other people are needed, unfortunately not the case tonight. Her blank look at the word “bass” told me everything I needed to know about perceptions of our instrument but it was nice that she said it. someone I presumed to be the host scuttled into view at that moment and headed for the om area, he didn’t see me though he passed within a metre or so. I hope the landlady had a word about not deserting his post
  5. Whole Lottery Love - Led Zeppelin
  6. These are underrated! The low and high controls are super handy on bass 👌
  7. Dice Man - The Fall
  8. So did I, Dave, just to be sure!! 😁
  9. Today
  10. Yes. Since the copper plates are there
  11. Totally agree with all that. Maybe it had a jazz neck for a while ? I’d guess at sunburst originally
  12. Blimey, two more of the on line and retail store giants closed down. Another sign of the times 😔 Many of us will have had memories of browsing or buying gear from their stores, I'm sure.
  13. It is a phase shifter. Not all sound quite the same, so it may be a different flavor than the one you have.
  14. Ha, blur is just the photography, it's a brand new build! The thumbrest is held on with double sided tape. No residue.
  15. I don't know about that, there are plenty on here with a Fender obsession.
  16. I was also going to suggest having an own brand budget line, like Thomann and Harley Benton or G4M and their own brand, which might have worked for PMT but probably isn't best suited to @Bass Direct 😁

  18. I use bolts and threaded inserts, they work very well. Alternatively, with your pillar drill for accuracy, you could recess the ferrules into the body, giving you an extra ferrule's thickness of thread in the neck. Or buy longer screws, you cheapskate.
  19. I remember drooling over the SMX line in '95...
  20. Lekato - I have WS-50s and WS-90s. The WS-50s are smaller but have a bit less battery life (4 hours or so versus 6+ hours for the WS-90s). Available for £40-£45 from Ebay, £35-£40 from AliExpress. I use them for everything - rehearsals, open mics, and gigs. Both of them are switchable between channels in case someone else's dongles interfere with yours.
  21. Old school dub reggae players could get with that I think.
  22. Their track record includes Variaxes, and those of us owning them weren't exactly inundated with updates once they were taken out of production.
