Mokl started following Intonation set up on Cort B5 Element
-
So long as it intonates correctly at the 12th fret, it personally wouldn't concern me in the slightest if intonation at the 24th was marginally out when measured with a tuner. In fact, given all the potential variables, I'd be surprised indeed if it happened to me perfect, but maybe that's just me?!! None of that helps you at all, but what I'm saying is, I suppose, is that do you think the buyer's expectation is reasonable? It's good of you to be concerned, but you've no idea about their level of competence. Definitely check the string though!!

Someone with a lathe could easily make up some bushings to fit - wouldn't take long.

I've actually got a steamer, but stalled at the prospect of making a former. It's a thought

dclaassen started following Cambridgeshire bassist available for dep work
-
Intentionally not in a band full-time and happily retired, but also looking for dep gigs to keep me sharp. 68, very experienced and can read pretty well. My preference would be classic rock or country, pit work, or big band/ swing, but can also do other genres.Comfortable on fretted and fret less, but don’t have or want an upright. Can also do bg vocals on stuff I know.

Great album, only bought it recently but a truly great listen -
First two gigs last weekend with the new band I'd been helping out and have now joined. Saturday evening in Newbury and Sunday afternoon at a beer fest near Andover. Really enjoyed both, 2 x 1hr sets in Newbury, good crowd but not packed. I played pretty well and could hear everything. Played when required at the beer fest as it was a multi band thing where the players mixed about...loved my first attempt at "hey Jude" with most of us playing together and I tried some Overton Berry Trio lines. Thumpinator, comp, bass rig black panel, Barefaced 2x One10 stack for both.

mcnach started following Source Audio Aftershock - Bass distortion/fuzz/overdrive
-
This stereo pedal has three distortion types, can save up to 3 presets as it is without any additional gear. It can, of course, be used with the Neuro hub etc and MIDI for maximum control and maaaany more presets, but I never really explored that, the pedal does all I wanted as it stands. The Neuro app, however, is very handy, as it gives you access to many parameters. The way I used it was to create the basic overdrive/fuzz sounds using the app, and then just rely on the unit's physical controls to adjust drive, blend etc to taste. It's essentially 3 dirt pedals in one, and you can modify each until you are bored . It can run two of the distortion engines simultaneously, and blend them, stack them, or output them in stereo. It can do too many things to mention, so if you're not familiar with the Aftershock it's probably best to have a look at this: https://www.sourceaudio.net/aftershock-bass-distortion.html and this (the demo focus a bit too much on the higher gain sounds, but it's excellend at low gain sounds too): It has heavy duty 3MM velcro on the bottom, which of course can be removed. The original rubber feet were never installed and are included, as well as the cable to connect it to your phone to use the Neuro app, which gives you access to a huge array of parameters.

I only scoop out the lower mids, like a blessed piece of fairy wood (ie. ‘62 alder, touched by Saint Leo)

Up for sale is my great little Epifani UL 110. 250w 8Ohms. 11.6 Kg Bought for home use but has been to a couple of gigs as an extension cab to my old TKs 112 I had at the time. Easily powerful enough on it's own for acoustic stuff etc. Good overall condition. One of the bottom corner protectors is a bit damaged but it dose its job and the carpet is going a bit bobbly in places. Collection from St Helens. Not sure on postage yet as I'm pretty low on packaging and suitable boxes. Could possibly meet up if not too far.
