Its been endlessly debated. Jagger wanted to tell the story of the horror. Yes the lyrics are crude but clever and written as we know by a pair of total Blues nuts who hung out with the best. I suppose being such a great upbeat tune is the weird part, but its art without the awful gratuitous language we hear so often nowdays. I think its a song that cannot be played anymore except by the guy who wrote it, and he wont do it anymore so its effectively gone forever.

RAY AGAINST THE MACHINE started following Warwick setup questions
-
Next week I intend to take my Warwick corvette standard 4 string to a tech , to get it setup to B-E-A-D . The nut is Brass . I think it’s best to let the tech put a new set of strings on it also . Is it advisable to purchase a just a nut plastic nut ,and take that with me? ( not sure if they can do the string adjustment otherwise ) Also ,will the setup be for thicker strings ( a 5 string set for example ,without the need for a G string )? I notice that the shop do D’adarrio strings which are great , but not Warwick strings . I do prefer lighter strings . Basically I’d like to keep a light feel with the low sound ! Thanking you in advance

Really cool! Enjoy your new purchase. I'd hate to think how much a string change sets you back. Hopefully you like the sound of worn in rounds 😃

So very much this. SBL (which I like overall) is awful for it, with Scott the main culprit although the absolute worst is a reggae mini course which is excruciating. Old white bloke playing bass with a Jamaican (from memory) drummer and dropping the "Ya man" like someone from a 1980s comedy sketch show with blackface and one of those dreadlock hats on. It's not even a particularly informative course. Literally any of the Donstrumental YouTube videos has so much more value in a tenth of the time. -

I used to work with an aussie who just called everyone by the C word. "Hey, do you c**ts want to come to the pub. Im meeting a bunch of c**it's to watch some c**t sing some old s**t" Translation- "Would you gentlemen care to join me at the hostelry to spend time with my family and I as we enjoy a fine singer performing the classics?" -
Oooh, lovely Boogie retro 👍

Absolutely - when did this start? Only had this said to me on a few occasions, and each time by either a young person or ( even worse ) someone nearer my age who thought they were still ‘hip’. -

bobbass4k started following Zoom Ultra Fuzz UF-01
-
Had one years ago and had some nostalgic curiosity. Just as good as I remember and not super keen to get rid, but there's other things I want and with 85 DIY pedals on the shelves, I have a strict one in one out policy on branded pedals... For those who don't know, the ultra fuzz was something of a hidden gem - often very wrongly considered a fuzz factory clone, it's absolutely anything but. Can do noisy squeals but also does very rich dense heavy distortion. This one is in absolutely immaculate condition, with box. Price is £125 and includes postage with adequate insurance. Pickup available from Sheffield or Leeds also an option

You could use something like a Rolls PM351 or PM50 if you want wired. Rolls is nearly always the answer for this kind of audio routing thing. Otherwise I think you're looking at a mixer (either a normal one or a little line mixer like the Rolls MX54) which then runs into any normal wireless IEM system.
