Hopefully this will help your Kemper sell - great tool for the studio & live. I toyed with the idea of getting the new one instead of mine but the original does more than I’d ever need. At this price it’s ideal for a bc’er to dip their toe in the digital realm….. try it then keep it or sell it on to another curious mind - nothing to lose & everything to gain (especially if like me you have a few g**tars in your possession) GLWTS

In my last band the singer used to introduce me as "the long-haired, soap-dodging, sandal-wearing friend of Jesus on the bass", and despite none of it actually being true it always got a laugh.

It's been a while since I posted a Joe Dart transcription. This one was released about 4 months ago. Fearless Flyers - Autobahn

Great sounding small footprint multi fx pedal. Too much fx to list but if you start at everything you'll not be far away! A big upgrade from the original ms60b the sounds are much more faithful. Lots of routing options too if you want to send separate links to pa, foh or your own amp. It been used sparingly so in great condition. £75 pick up Leyland Lancashire or can post for £7.

Hello, Snazzy Boss multifx / modelling unit in basically "as new" condition - bought new by me, barely used and never left the house. Sounds really good, I just don't ever use effects and it's too big to use solely as a preamp. Boxed, although the box is very slightly bashed (it came to me like that, tbf...) Delivered to your door in the UK for £210.

Ah ha! That makes sense. I sometimes see boards that have 5-6 'effects' + a Stomp and the effects are invariably available in the Stomp, which I find strange but each to their own. I bought into the Stomp idea as a means to do ALL of my tone shaping, effects, active crossover, IEM routing et al and so far it does 90% of it but little add on's like the Broughton and DiMarco pre, do lift the overall output in terms of richness of tone.

With the Bonnevilles at the Wagon Load of Lime last night - a bit tight for space with the bikes around us (that's a T140V Bonneville behind the guitarist and the front wheel of a pre-unit 650 Triton poking out in front of me). A bit more visible in this shot. Tablet is for the set list and brief notes on a couple of the songs. The all-important glasses. Should be getting more bookings next year, and some for my other band too (if we can negotiate a better fee). Same rig and footwear as last night. More relaxed as I don't do the PA. No pale ales in the pub. Sharp's Doom Bar and Sea Fury only, so resorted to Madri.

Fair comment.

Fair question. It's because the Stomp moves on/off the pedal board depending on the gig and I always like to use the Thumpinator at the start of my signal chain, regardless of what comes after. 👍
-
I'm always (genuinely) interested why folk add certain pedals to something like a Stomp, when that effect is likely replicated within the Stomp. Your Thumpinator in particular @cetera is effectively a HPF of which there are many in various stages of the Stomp... why the external Thumpinator? I should add that I've presently got a Broughton Resonant Filter Equalizer on my pedalboard instead of using the Stomp HPF/LPF, as the Broughton gives a bump at the filter point which is easier to tweak and sounds more musical than going into the Stomp and adding a para EQ to a HP/LP filter. Actually I'm also guilty of using an external GK800RB preamp pedal which I use instead of the Stomps GK block (which is actually a great simulation)! LOL

I have a 5 string version of the first one you linked to, but that project is as yet unfinished so I don't know if it's any good. But, to @Richard R and @Huge Hands question about turning the wheels under tension; each wheel has a hex socket so can theoretically be turned with the mini hex it comes with. I'll be interested myself to see how the theory holds up in practice. I also have a 4 string OVERLORD OF MUSIC one from a now-disassembled bass I made. It was much improved by the addition of thrust bearings, but the end of the tuners are now a good 90mm from the rough scale line.

It sounds great and I don’t mind a bit of doom! I thought the snare on BraveStarrr wasn’t the best and preferred the snare sound in the other 2 songs. Can’t remember exactly but felt like it had a tambourine ( or something in that frequency ) layered under it. The other snares just sounded more convincing. ✌️ Great work

They may go down to 60Hz but the power will drop. Some speakers quote -3dB some even as low as -6dB for their low end figure. Personally, I cross over at between 80Hz and 100Hz depending on the system.

Up for sale is this DSM & Humboldt Bass Master, the sequel to the Bass Station. It's got loads of features, which you can read about here: https://www.dsmhumboldt.com/bass-master-1-1. Essentially, it's an all analogue pedal with a preamp, EQ, cab sim and DI. It also has a pre- and post-effect loop, and a parallel channel to blend in wet signal. This thing is tiny too, only slightly larger than the standard 1590B pedal size. There aren't many demos around, but Bass The World has one on YT, as well as DSM themselves. The price includes postage. If you have any questions, please get in touch.
