  2. Wonderful basses. I let my similar 5-string go (for an absolute song, it was just before the boom when Rob announced he was stopping, bloody typical) and I rather regret it. GLWTS, the buyer will be getting a classic.
  3. Thanks Pete, funny I was looking for something that would do that but not knowing whet they're called didn't find it! I'll order one of those, Anderton's have them in stock 👍
  4. I'd expect it to be fried in fairly short order. A cab splitter box, like this one from Palmer: https://www.palmer-germany.com/en/products/signal-splitter-switcher/5088/cab-m would be the way to go, or a DIY version.
  5. FS/FT Status-Graphite Series 1 rare through-neck model with exotic book-matched top. Yes, it's definitely a Series 1 with the through-neck option. (The Eclipse of the same mid nineties period had a single piece curved top and the Energy only had three volume/tone/style sweeper controls.) As you'll probably know, most of the wooden necked [with internal graphite rods] Status basses were cheaper bolt on instruments with the small composite square at the bottom of the neck. This one is a very rare through neck model (which was an option in 1994). You can see how the wood through-neck build was identically constructed to the graphite through-necks on the Empathy during the same period, with a rock maple stepped design neck set into the walnut tone block, and the mahogany wings added to the sides, with a book-matched exotic wood top cap. The bass has obviously lived a life since the mid-1990s and there is some stable lacquer peel to the back, but no deep buckle rash. There's also a very small area where a players thumb-tip has worn through the top veneer when they've repeatedly perched their thumb on the top of the neck pickup. It's not perfect, but it's obviously been loved and played hard & often. The original pickup covers would have been the red branded "Hyperactive" ones, so the other "Status" branded pickup may be a replacement unit or just a replacement cover. Either way, both work just fine. Sound: This bass does the Status snap and howl very well indeed. It's very punchy and the tone is warmed by the walnut tone block. It's only a 9V preamp, but it has massive punch. Controls are Volume, Blend, and two-band Treble & Bass. There is also a 'bright switch' circuit controlled by a micro-switch. The 24-fret neck is utterly lovely. Fret work is excellent as you'd expect and the gloss finish has gently gone slightly satin over time. It's a joy to play. The bass has had a thorough clean and service since being picked up, and the truss rod has been tightened by a small amount to reduce the relief. Action is low and very fast as you'd expect from a Status and it's been strung with a new set of Elixir 40-95's. The preamp battery has also been changed and brand new Dunlop Strap Buttons have been added. This bass is ready to blast! Comes complete with a generic non-Status hard case. Payment via Direct Bank Transfer or cash only. Buyer to collect from DE7 in Derbyshire, or will meet halfway up to a reasonable distance.
  6. Don't forget blues was fading in the USA until their leading lights came to the UK and sparked the UK blues movement.
  7. I think so, but I'm not sure a box designed for instrument level would survive being placed after the amp....?
  8. Such a forgotten guy these days
  9. IRs are not just cab sims, I believe. The Quad Cortex pedal “captures” are similarly created by recording other pedals’ responses to audio impulses at various frequencies and amplitudes. So with those, you can say plug in a tube screamer and the QC will send it impulses and capture the responses. You’d then have a digital version of the TS to use in the QC and would no longer require the original pedal.
  10. I am curious about the ABY scenario. If you're running a single out (at 4ohms) into an ABY with both outputs open and then into a pair of 8ohm cabinets, would the load be recognised as 4ohms?
  11. Didn't most of the 90s/2000s Japanese Fenders use Bass Wood bodies? I know the Aerodynes were, anyway.
  12. I saw Rory Gallagher. I suspect he has an element of responsibility for me tinnitus. Wow, he was loud. See also SRV.
  13. I have dealt a few times at https://www.banzaimusic.com. They are more component oriented than mainstream dealers. I needed a barrel jack for my Warwick and tgey had it. Also - not all barrel jacks are created equal. Compared to main stream shops Banzai are quite slow and unresponsive so be patient 🏖️ Here is one for Ibanez, look around and you may find: https://www.banzaimusic.com/ibanez-output-jack-1-piece-3jk1j23r.html
  14. Not MDF but VERY plain, pale, and characterless wood, IIRC poplar
  15. You've piqued my interest - solid colour or trans refin? Picture?
  16. How about 1 x £3,000 one, you can do that no problem!
  17. Thanks for the clarification! Sadly I do not have 10 x £300 basses to sell

Last purchase at thomann musicsotre visit, it looks like not used for years. From their stock, it was not listed on website, but was in showroom. First try and I know that my wife will see new bass soon (no issue). I am owner of 5 Fender basses (main from US from 79-2024), 2 Maruszczyk. I have to said that is nice sounding jazz, not Fender Jazz but nice, clean, and better made. Fender can learn how to make a basses from them, no gap, etc. Serial number is below <20 Do you have idea which year that could be? He has still foil on pickguard LIndy Fralin pickups are inside, first type of preamp with switches on back plate, with preamp gain pot.
  19. I gigged the 1x15 version for 3 years, didn't miss a beat. Great Combo's these. GLWTS

  23. OK, there is a limit on the 'Paid' marketplaces, which is Basses for sale (and sub-forums such as left handed), Amps and Cabs and Other musical items on items that are above £50 where you can only create a new entry if you have created less than 10 other sales since the same day in the previous month. Note you can have many more sales than 10 open at the same time, you just can't start them if you have started 10 or more in the last month So for instance if you created a sale post for a £300 bass today (28th May) and then every 3 days, trying to create your tenth bass sale would fail on the 24th June with a 1650 error and you would not be able to create that post until the 28th June. However, if you changed that and created sales every 4 days, you would never hit the limit.
  24. Sole Man - Sam & Dave
  25. Selling this lovely Bitmap in great shape with original box - it's basically mint apart of velcro. These received significant software update last year with additional clipping modes etc. Red Panda has also very convenient web editor for presets. Happy to trade (with price adjustments) for interesting dirt pedals. Bitmap occupies my "loose spot" for additional dirt in pedalboard and I'm just happy to experiment. Basic overdrive I'm covering with Capo. The ones I would love to try are EAE, Damnation Audio, Broughton, Bearfoot, Hiero etc. Would've thrown 3leaf in but what are the chances
