Soul Revolution with BBC Concert Orchestra on BBC2. Opinions?

I saw bits of it, so didn't see the start or any context of what it was fully about. I agree that Beverly Knight was her usual amazing. For me. it lost a little in some of the arrangements and song choices, as though some were trying too hard to embellish or change the feel of the original songs. I also agree some of the vocalists seemed a little off. I recently saw a video on Youtube of a house band including Will Lee on bass playing a Curtis Mayfield tribute with the WDR orchestra and Ledisi/Bilal singing. Much more well done and true to the feel of the originals IMHO -
It's not every day you see two of these up for sale on the Marketplace, is it? For Sale / Trade 2019 Fender Flea Signature Road Worn Jazz in faded Shell Pink. You already know how good these are - they have the same Pure Vintage 64 Pickups as the American Vintage & the American Original series Jazzes. This one has a couple of additions from a previous owner - a Leo Quan BadAss II Bridge and a micro switch for Parallel/Series switching. Series mode gives it more of a P-alike shove. It's a great sounding bass and I'll throw in one of the new Fender triangular padded Gig Bags. Oh, and it has brand new genuine Fender Road Worn Strap Buttons. The previous metallic red locking ones really had to go! Obviously this is a Road Worn bass, so a bunch of Mexicans at the Ensenada plant have more than likely kicked the body around a shale carpark during their lunch break, but condition is exactly as you'd expect - rather like a nicely worn in '61 Jazz, which is what it's apparently trying to be. No flaky bits of faded Shell Pink have fallen off while it's been in my tenure, anyway. Potential buyers are welcome to come and try the bass whether they end up buying it or not. There's always Tea/Coffee and maybe biscuits. Price is £900. Interesting trades considered. Buyer to collect, or I will happily meet up half way at a distance of up to 100 miles (200 miles total distance!) from DE7. Thank you for your attention.

Outside under a gazebo & windy. Down one guitarist - not a problem as we have managed as guitar bass & drums plenty of times before, and evolved out of a band yonks ago that was just that - but guitar was having problems with his TwoNotes pedal switching that gave him a load of alien abduction moments in the first couple of numbers, but we soldiered through and all in all a good afternoon. No IEM's for me but you work with what you have for those gigs. Back to full strength and the usual PA next week. Reasonale crowd up dancing and singing by the end which is always nice. Vocalist again said to me "Your rig was sounding awesome tonight" ... and I have to agree. Had to push it a bit more as no PA support, but a nice twangy growl.

Which, the white or amber? I've a sunburst sonic P with laural or whatever the faux rosewood is, instead of standard maple, with gold anodised vintera pickguard. Looks great, sounds really good with flats. Really like the narrow neck, nice and fast.

Does anyone know if this pedal is available anywhere or is it just a case of joining the waiting the list 😪 Everywhere I looked was out of stock.

Small "Hifi" amp head recommendations sought!

Quilter BassBlock is fully transparent at lower gain settings. -
Came here to say this I've seen one of the two made in the flesh, at a Fender Custom Shop clinic in the Netherlands. Master builder John English was there to take the audience through their relicing process, which was really informative and interesting, and they had some cool Custom Shop instruments on display. One of those was the Tye Zamora bass.

I’d kind of be interested. Recently I was looking at a Warmoth Fender build - funnily enough in Sherwood Green like @Beedster 👌 I know their wood is high quality and I like the options. But they have reputation, and for any new-starter, or unknown-to me-business I wouldn’t be sure if it’s same quality, so that’d bother me. But it depends on the price you’re looking at I suppose. Moreover - I’d want to know exactly where the wood came from, but that’s just me. Looks like Limelight do well with the same model (generic parts) and I’ve always guessed that the ‘relic only’ offering was down to less work making sure the nitro finish is polished up and spot on!

As a fretless player as well, I play a lot of melodic bass lines around the 10th, 12th, 14th frets on the D and G strings so I need a lot of clarity for these melodies to be clear. I use two rigs, a LM IV through a Barefaced Two10 and the Warwick Gnome Ipro 300 through a TC208. The latter is a beautiful rig, crystal clear, small and lightweight. The only reason I didn't mention the Warwick head is I can't remember how silent it is but I'll check tonight and let you know. As for my other rig, I totally understand what you are saying about MarkBass, I found the MB cabs to be exactly as you describe and got rid of mine when I had them some years back for those reasons. The heads however are super transparent and clear and I do very much like them. You'll notice a lot of electric Jazz bassists use them as they are very transparent. As for my Barefaced Two10 cab, its quite old school sounding so I'm looking at changing it for a LFSys cab. As an example of my style, this is the sort of playing I do so you can hear from the start after the harmonics intro I am playing a lot of melody which needs to be super clear. -

Just noticed you were asking for interest not opinion, apols for my opinions above, have now shown some interest 👍 -

If the paint shop can do a decent Sherwood Green I’m interested in a Precision 👍 -
Eye contact with the band members can help you relax, and keep it simple.

100% this. It may not be a necessary purchase for some, but it's been a complete lifesaver for me. I can't even remember how long I've had mine for, but more than 10 years for sure.

Perhaps business wasn't the right word, I guess! Umm, certainly hobby/pastime would have been a better term. I know that in the literal sense it's just screwing stuff together, but feedback from the work I have done (so far) has been positive. There's no way I could build stuff from scratch; I neither have the time, inclination, machinery or skillset for this. I certainly think it would be possible to turn round a couple a week to supplement my income.

Thanks @Linus27 - I've never been a fan of the MB sound, but it could just be because I've only ever heard their combos or cabs which seem to make everything sound muffled (at least to me). The Nano certainly has the features and portability. The biggest challenge I'm finding when doing youtube amp research is having to listen to a constant stream of slap demos - it gets wearing really quickly!
