  1. Past hour
  2. The obvious explanation is that the tall guy is accidentally wearing his partner's trousers.
  3. Got to love your confidence. 😂 Hopefully it went well. Dave
  4. Had the lurgy few weeks back and it left me with a bit of a cough that is slowly going away but a bad cold does that to me these days. If i hadn't tested for it i would have sworn it was covid. Rest of the band caught it 2 weeks later with no contact from me in those 2 weeks. Seems to be doing the rounds again. Dave
  5. Bridge fitted, still haven't found an emg for the right price
  6. Give it a try, buy one separate, then you can go std if you don't like it... Earnie Ball do a wound 0.16 / 0.18 if ya use super/reg slinkies, to match...
  7. No, should I? Are there any manufacturers who offer a set of 9s with a wound third?
  8. Counterpoint: Tort is a lovely way of visually rooting a rosewood board in a black body - otherwise, the reddish browns of rosewood tend to clash with black finishes, imho. (And I‘m really not a big tort guy, I‘ve gone decades without it!) All that said, the gold really is on another level.
  9. It’s a custom FNA Jazzman - so a music man pickup by the bridge and a jazz pickup closer to the neck
  10. Nice. Have you tried a wound Third?.. Warmer tone for higher pitch. I always feel a 0.16 or 0.18 a bit thick for a plain. Wounds feel and 'work' so much better.
  11. Believe it, or not I used to plug a set of Beyer 100s directly into my 20th anniversary Stingray. Worked a treat for solo practice.
  12. 2pods

    Roland VB99

    I wish I hadn't sold mine, but progress y'know
  13. What model of Warwick do you own and does it have a preamp bypass option? I'm thinking you could try using it neck only and bypassing the preamp. That might get you close enough?
  14. Nissan Juke drivers. What's wrong with them? Why are they all such terrible drivers with no awareness of what's going on around them? If Im on my motorbike, I will always be extremely cautious around them and expect the worst of them.
  15. Cheers Shaggy, I think so too, the new bridge makes all the difference and the single truss rod with dual action once set it does not move incredible , so easy to set a Rick up now. this one plays like a dream with the flat profile neck so thin compared to any other Rick I have had over 40 of them, it is perfect has the growl, the feel, and looks not too shabby either, only selling due to ill health, will hate putting my Spector up.
  16. Just got this Nash PB52.......
  17. *PRICE INCLUDES UK POSTAGE * Wicked pedal! Tracks beautifully. Only selling as I’m now using multi-effect unit. In great condition (I may even have original box…can’t find at the moment m). Does an octave below and/or above. Also has an independent boost effect. Blurb here: Octavius tri-tone generator has 4 controls LO OCT, HIGH OCT, MASTER MIX and BOOST. LO OCT knob lets you set the volume of the lower octave signal produced by the pedal. HIGH OCT knob controls the volume of the higher octave signal produced by the pedal. The balance between the levels of these 2 knobs is what creates your particular octave-divided sound. Experiment with your mix, and you’ll be amazed at the variety of effects you’ll get. MASTER MIX knob lets you set the overall volume of your low and high octaves compared to your direct signal. Use the BOOST knob to control the output of your octave-divided sound. The boost function lets you dial in a solo level, whether the overdrive circuit is activated or not.
  18. Genuinely think this should be in a player’s tonal chain. Took out on a Jazz/Funk gig and it was smooth as butter!! Almost has me changing my mind…..just too much a luxury with the other stuff that I own and use!!
  19. Today
  20. I've seen a Helix require a few resets over a rehearsal more than once. Not at a gig so far.
  21. Played several over the years - a few Soundgears, an ATK and a BTB prototype. All excellent instruments, and on a different level to their production stuff. Higher quality finishes, better necks, better fretwork, vastly superior setups. Same pickups and electronics, for the most part, but occasionally they do custom stuff. It's possible to get them to build you something, but you've got to get in with their artist relations department - you don't necessarily have to be an "official" endorser with your picture on the website, but you do have to be on their radar, you've got to be willing (for the most part) to only be seen playing Ibanez gear, and you've got to pay (rather a lot). Personally, I always wanted a custom bolt-on BTB with the ATK pickups and preamp... I know Dave Bronze lurks on here and chips in from time to time - he's an official Ibby artist who has worked with the custom shop on his custom 6-string BTB, maybe he could chime in?
  22. I’ve also got a Unity700. Great little amp with loads of sounds. Doesn’t get much love unfortunately as I’m mostly straight to desk nowadays.
  23. Closely related... jeans with the crotch hear knee level. Sorry Gary Stringer... Saw a tall guy in the supermarket the other day, well over a foot taller than his partner. They both appeared to have legs the same length...
