  2. Weak - Skunk Anansie
  3. Very nice. Any chance of some more shots of the bass please? Aka basschat Frankie Vaughan 😁
  4. There's a school of thought existing right now that Contemporary Christian Music itself is evil. That's a rabbit hole I'm avoiding like the plague. I turn up,play bass and collect my cheque. Simple 😊
  5. That's works with me, I'll send you a PM with the details.
  6. Also check if the nut is not too low...
  7. 7 days - Craig David
  8. Up for grabs is a lovely G&L Fallout Bass Tribute - I took a while to find it when I bought it and they still seem to be quite rare. Understandable as it is a great bass. Plays great and sounds great. l am reluctantly selling this one as finding another could be quite a task but needs must. It’s a stunning metallic red model with maple neck version - short scale 30” but proportioned more like a full scale bass. It’s a good weight at 4.2kgs and well balanced. Plays well with nice low action set up, upgraded with Schaller tuners for rock solid, accurate tuning. Great sounding and highly versatile pickup with some great sound modes accessible via the selector switch. Some minor imperfections I have tried to highlight on the pics which are hardly noticeable. Can post in the UK only included in the price. Will come in a decent gig bag and posted in a guitar box.

  9. There's no point in the missing tuning key, the G string doesn't reach the headstock. Ask CoPilot? πŸ˜‰
  10. Recently purchased from Basschat, just cos I fancied a Stingray style bass, turns out I’m defo a Jazz Bass guy. OLP, Ernie Ball endorsed Stingray bass, made in China. Great condition bass this, in stealth black with black hardware. Has an upgraded Retrovibe Stinger 77 Pre amp and Warman MM4 Alnico pick up. Both are absolutely wicked additions to this bass. Bass weighs 4.3kgs The pre amp is very powerful and gives that authentic 70s stingray sound. Knobs are not original, they are Spector, keeps the stealth vibe going. Original knobs not available, sorry. The control cavity has had a slight rerouting to accommodate the battery, done by the previous owner and still has the original jack socket if you wanna change the preamp configuration. Bass comes with a carry case. Collect from Saltash Cornwall Postage can be arranged as I have a box and packing padding. Probs Β£20 BARGAIN STINGRAY
  11. I'm a pure CBS child. And my wife is a pure moon child (not sure who will understand this one).
  12. This drives me nuts, less so if I’ve been in a band (when I would have said something), more when I’m in the audience*. Thank you to the drummers on the thread who have confirmed that I’m not mad and it is a reasonable thing to expect. * Extra points if it happens while the drummer has left the stage for a quiet duo or trio number.
  13. Reduced now to a silly bargain at only Β£600. May consider a trade for a class D lightweight bass amp that does 2ohms, or other lightweight basses, John East Retro deluxe.
  14. Ever wanted that mega Bi phase action like a musitronic! But smaller and cheaper. These are difficult to find, so my last bump.
  15. I am selling my Barefaced Super Compact bass cabinet. Price is Β£500. I bought the cab on this forum from @FinnDave in March 2024. Condition is excellent. It is a 1x12 cabinet, with a silver cloth grill. The cab is rated at 600w / 8 ohm. Cover is included. These are incredible cabs, and super-light. I am only selling because I have subsequently bought more Barefaced cabs! Collection preferred. Not looking for trades. Thanks

  18. Ironic considering it was (supposedly) banned from early church music for fear of summoning the devil!
  19. Thanks for the tip. I got the template here....

  21. They look like quality efforts to my eyes, good work! IIRC, there was a downloadable template for this procedure somewhere on BC.
  22. Pre-CBS? πŸ€¦πŸ»πŸ€”πŸ˜‚πŸ«¨πŸ€ͺ
  23. So good they named it twice. Bought this last year in my MM phase and had a luthier adapt to active. The pickup is a Handwound beauty from Cat's Whiskers UK. Serial/Parallel on volume pull knob. Can courier at cost
  24. I've been doing a 50s Rock'n'Roll show and decided I wanted a 50s type p bass for the look. Obviously, the most afforable option is a Harley Benton PB50. I love it, very basic, but does exactly what it says on the can. Only snag is, of course, the headstock. So, having never done more than setting up the neck on a bass, I decided this might be the opportunity to pop my modding cherry. I had an extraordinary bit of luck when I discovered that my landlady had a scroll saw in her basement. So, here's a pic of the bass as is, the saw and my dry run attempts at cutting the headstock shape. Many thanks to @PaulThePlug for tips and the template of the headstock. Any tips before I jump in with the real thing would be much appreciated.
