  2. Time has come to let go of this great bass rig. Had this for gigs but only got through one before the band had issues again. If I play again will be going to a power amp/modelling pedal and In ear setup as most of the places I can practice are quiet or have cabs available. Head sold ..... Markbass MB58R 104 PURE Bass Cab 4ohm 800watt version This is a light exceptionally portable bass cab With great bass response which is surprising after you have carried it in. Has an adjustable tweeter and is just a great cab. Weight is around 16kg so an easy one person lift. Sounds great is great would keep it but is just taking up spare room space. Featuring four 10" custom designed neodymium speakers housed in a spacious cabinet, it produces articulate tones with a rich. fulfilling bass response. In addition, the 104 PURE boasts a clear high end through a built-in Hi-Fi tweeter. This formidable speaker can handle up to 800 Watts, so you've got ample headroom for those situations where you need plenty of volume. And speaking of situations, the MB58R is easy to get situated thanks to its incredibly light construction! Utilising innovative material for a lighter frame, Markbass have produced a cab that's easy to transport and astonishingly powerful. Crossover Frequency: 3.5 Khz Frequency Response: 40hz to 20khz Sensitivity Db Spl: 103 Db Impedance: 4 Ohms Reflex: Rear 578mm x 600mm x 470mm (£500 on its own but collection only on the cab as wouldn't have a box etc) Any questions feel free to ask. 3. Lock, Stock And Barrel - Bing Crosby/The Andrews Sisters
  4. Very lovely looker!

  6. So, to everyone in this thread who managed to snag one before UK stock vanished, how are you finding it? I can see from his posts on Facebook groups that @shug is very impressed with his. Rob
  7. Up for grabs is my Protec Contego bass semi rigid case in fantastic condition. A small number of superficial marks from use but it doesn't have any holes and all the zips work perfectly. are currently £158 on Thomann. I'm asking £75 collected from lovely Wellingborough or £85 posted within the UK. I'm looking for a sale, no trades, ta.
  8. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
  9. Which is why I've thoughtfully added a postage option so that potential buyers don't have to suffer the trauma and indignity of visiting the god forsaken place should they choose not to.
  10. And it's a bass you can see in the photo. It'd probably be a Les Paul if it was a Marshall.
  11. Everything I Own - Ken Boothe or Bread
  12. You'll get the best results with four round ports 8cm diameter 15cm long. The rattles indicate insufficient panel to panel bracing.
  13. As opposed to agonizing over just about everything except how today the bass well in a musical way.
  14. Some nice new updates added recently, most notably to the sequencer.
  15. @thebob, were you still after one? @tayste_2000 Is it the MKIII or the MKIIIS?
  16. I would have to agree. I bought this exact model from Bass Bros in pristine condition for just shy of £1200. Great bass however
  17. It went well, actually. Took us a little while to find our groove, but once we settled in things came together nicely. A few bits still need tightening up, but overall it felt like a solid rehearsal and a step in the right direction
  18. So far tonight: Born to Run - the whole album not just the track Blackest Eyes - Porcupine Tree some Sweet and currently Time Frames - Jonas Lindbergh & The Other Side
  19. Right….here is a fantastic representation of ‘Fender’ Jazz style bass. The construction is highly regarded in the ‘jazz copies’ world. Being more of a 5 sting player, I put it together with great upgrades for an upcoming project but the video guys preferred a solid colour vintage looking bass, which I now own and upgraded (‘ing’….nearly finished). This fantastic bass now plays and sounds far superior than the price (and brand) suggests, but owes me £500 +……nearest to that would make me happy (collected preferably but can post if buyer covers p&p). (Willing to drop off if within a reasonable distance or en route somewhere). I can try to recover the cost by stripping it back to original and selling bass and parts separately but that would be a shame as it went remarkably well so I’m going to try to sell it as is…. In great condition with no obvious or major damage etc…I hope the pics do it justice and I will list the mods done. Feel free to question me but take my word…you will not be disappointed with this superb instrument. KSD bass £250, East J-Retro deluxe preamp £100, EMG’s £100, Badass 2 bridge £45, Brass nut £10, Tuners £45, Ernie Ball strings £25. I’ll describe the sound as fat and snappy. My favourite combination of East and EMG wins again. The feel is fast with a flatter radius than Fender stuff so really comfortable and easy on the ‘bends’. What do we think lads?🤞🏽

  20. The Sovereign Pro 8-225 is the version of the 8-225 used in the Basschat 8" cabinet. It is a bit heavier than the non-pro version. It also has a flatter response. Ideal for use in the 8" cab if you need less treble. It has never been used, except to try it in an existing cabinet. Unfortunately, it did not fit. Will be sent in the original packing. You can compare the two speakers HERE.
  21. This is a Fane Sovereign Pro 8-225. The cast aluminium version of the Fane Sovereign 8-225 used in the Easy 8" Cab Build Thread. It is slightly heavier and has a flatter response than the non-pro version. I bought this to fit into an old 8" PA cabinet, but it was a little too deep. It has had virtually no use. The foam was use when I was trying to fit the driver into my old cabinet. I will include a new strip of foam. The original 8-225 was selected, as its upper response makes up for the lack of a tweeter. However, if you prefer a flatter softer sound, this is the driver for you. Pro 8-225 Datasheet

  22. That custom shop was cool - one of a run done for Sting so he could retire his originals by all accounts… Sold at the time because it didn’t suit my band or something mundane… it’d really work now. Meh. Life…

  24. Never quite understood why - as the commercial profits do - sticking a jazz bridge pickup on a precision makes it a PJ. It's just a modded Precision. Anyway - mine isn't. Just finished this. It's a Frankenstein based around a Squier PJ body and a new Fender 70s Jazz neck. I found some SDQPs on eBay. Got a Hi mass with some Amazon vouchers I had given and for the princely sum of £3.54 got a vintage pearloid pick guard off Temu ! Every hole lines up perfectly. I shielded the inside with slug tape from the garden centre and rewired it so it's vol/blend/tone. It's far more the love child of a Precision and a Jazz than most. Not a great pic but it does have Milly in it !
