If I drank at gigs I'd be all over the place, much too old for that now! However, the singer really reacts well with the audience after he's had a few. He engages with them more than any other frontman I've been in a band with and gets them on our side so to speak.

@stevie, how well would the Goodwood work with a Trace Elliot ELF or a Warwick Gnome? 200W amps but into 4 ohm; more like 100W-ish when into 8 ohms. I think I can rig up a battery solution that would work with a small amp like one of those for busking. It just depends then on how efficient the Goodwood is with not much power. I have been eyeing up the TE Elf 1x10 combo and the BF One10T for the same job but would prefer to stick to an LFSys solution!

The bit that tells me this kind of world has left me behind is encapsulated in this review of one of yesterday's headliners
...rise over the past year has been nothing short of phenomenal and, while fans await her debut album...
Not enough material for an album yet but you're headlining a stage at this festival? Must be very good at dancing, I suppose.

Here we have a used but not abused Rockboard Tres 3.0 pedalboard setup that, with the addition of the power supply and patchbay, means you are set up and ready to go. No need for mains power to the board, you just charge the power supply before the gig and you can enjoy hum-free pedals all night! I've never had any issues with this setup. The battery can do a two set gig with no issue. Currently, I have left the USB cable connecting the power supply to the patchbay, so you can plug an external USB into it and charge without having to remove it. Lots of other wiring options are possible though. The carry bag is fully functional and in good overall condition, athough it has some light scuffing on the outside as you'd expect. New, all of this would have been £200, so I think £125 posted is fair. Thanks for looking EDIT: Forgot to add proof of ownership to the pictures, but hopefully pages and pages of feedback (see link in signature) will confirm I am a legit seller!

There's a disappointing lack of costume chat here. Many reviews of the festival mention how many costume changes each artist does in their set. It's almost as if you snooty musos think such things don't matter. Don't get me started on the absence of dance chat

Neil Young. Loved the way the band slowed Glastonbury down to a crawl. Long breaks between tunes. Lazy out of tune soloes, and the band all shuffling around on a piece of stage the size of an iPhone. Id forgotten how good some of his early stuff actually was.

We used to drink and play in our youth. It took a while to realise that it was highly likely that it didn't sound as good as we thought it did. A couple of shandies now, or often a lime & soda - and I know my playing is as good as it gets

That's Peavey's take on the Fat Finger, it is meant to ensure there are no dead spots across the fingerboard.

Yeah, have been looking for one for years. I bought it on tape when it came out, which had TV News and a live version of Love Rears... on it. When I eventually bought the CD years later, it had neither and sounded incomplete, which is when I started looking at the versions and found out about the guitar solo version. I picked up a version with the tape tracklist but I'm still looking for the solos version 😂 On your earlier point, the switch to a darker sound was right up my street. I loved Vivid and Time's Up but Stain added some sonic weight to back up what they were saying socially and politically. It's still an all-time top-10er for me.

Schlippy started following Most Round-Like Flats

Late to the party but another +1 for the Ernie Ball cobalt flats, had some on a short scale for maybe eitheen months now and they've still got plenty of top end left, I remember posting here when I first got them how impressed I was with the tone after they'd broken in. I've got another shortie with some (admittedly 2.5 years old at this point) D'Addario XL nickels which essentially sound like flats now, the cobalts have aged a helluva lot better than them. Edit - the one potential downside with the cobalts (and all pressure/ground-wound pseudo-flats in my experience) is that they can be pretty abrasive on your fingertips if you're prone to sweating or play often in humid conditions. It's something I've never experienced with the mirror-finish you get on "true" flats (LaBellas especially) so I assume it's something to do with the process of transitioning a standard roundwound into a hybrid. Might just be me tho, I am a bit of a sweaty Betty as our 'Strine chums would say.
