  1. Past hour
  2. Hey Warwick owners. Just wondering whether there’s anyone near Colchester who might own a streamer stage 1 or a thumb that might let me have a noodle. Would like to try before I buy.
  3. 'Basses on the Lawn'?
  4. From my bed to the front door. 😂 It's only a small country in Northern Ireland. hahaha Mark
  5. I’m just weighing up how to do an updated photo…don’t think I’ve got enough couch real estate…
  6. Literally five seconds through the front door and my wife is going, 'You have to watch this!' May I present to you, San Jose's 'The Graystones'. These guys are not even teenagers yet. The burpy tone that the bass player gets is quite glorious. They're covering Sade, Fleetwood Mac, Supertramp, Adele. 10/10.
  7. On Saturday my band SHREDS. is back in Sheffield! We'll be a Zephyr's in the Stag Works, S2 4QU playing a hardcore / punk show together with FERAL STATE, 77 SPEARS, and CLASS TOURISTS. The show is only £5, so drop by and check us out! Get your tix online in advance here: https://tinyurl.com/2bzu4myw
  8. Looks good - GLWTS, David.
  9. Yo Stubs, A more than impressive collection there. Might I bother you for your thoughts/impressions regards the 60's Fender P? Quite fancy one of those and would value your opinion. Best Snorks
  10. Well first rehearsal done and it felt like the last 5 years hadn’t happened and that I’d never left, sounded great, really tight, and the JMJ really worked - tho I had to use a thinner pick to coax some top end nastiness. Even my backing vox were to standard, which was the area I thought I might be lacking in. Overall am pretty pleased.
  11. I've done a 1200 kilometres (around 750 miles) round trip to buy a Leduc U-Basse 6 from my place to a small town in Switzerland, I was younger and driving was part of my job (no, it's not linked to trucks). And I've done regular 600 kilometers (around 375 miles) round trips to sell, trade or buy instruments/amps in Paris.
  12. 2 metres tall? It must be a bronze record!
  13. I hope I have described this cab correctly it is the Barefaced two twelve cabinet non tweeter and is an early issue of the cab. It is simply the best cab I have ever owned. Why sell it? Well I am not playing the big venues any more and am downsizing to a barefaced midget. This cab is in good condition only a handle has been replaced and it has lived in the Roqsolid cover since new and never driven to its full potential. The cover has a board inside to protect the metal grille.Collection possible from the Glasgow area £540. or 24 hr. Courier to mainland. U.K. £20
  14. Thank you - I can't find a Bossa bass anywhere in the UK. I have another Bossa guitar that was Brian Monroney's (Tom Jones etc) and it's my #1 💛
  15. Yamaha DXR 8 Active Speaker This unit has been used as a keyboard monitor and comes with brand new Yamaha outdoor semi waterproof cover and mains lead. It is in good condition although it has lost its control knob caps. Everything works as it ought to. It is in very good cosmetic condition It’s very powerful for an 8” active cab. Great little multi purpose speaker. The original woofer has been replaced with a recommended Fane equivalent. Power Output: Dynamic: 1100W (LF: 950W HF: 150W) / Continuous: 700W (LF: 600W HF: 100W) Frequency Range: 57Hz - 20kHz Inputs: XLR-3-31 x1 , INPUT2: Phone x2, INPUT3: RCA PIN x 2, THRU: XLR3-32 x 1 (Parallel with INPUT 1 ), LINK OUT: XLR x 1 Pole Mounts: 2 options - 1 straight and 1 angular socket for mounting at downward angles Dimensions: 280mm (11") x 458mm (18") x 280mm (11") Weight: 13.5kg (29.8lbs) Pickup preferred but I can post at buyer’s cost. It is very well built and the packed weight will reflect this so I envisage it will be around £20 to post it. UK only. Priced to reflect the replacement driver and lack of control caps.
  16. 442 Video so it’s all in one place
  17. Well deserved. I can't think of a more iconic and influential rock star than Lemmy. He'll really brighten up that Metropolis
  18. Wow, Guitarchat is online since 10 years: Tempus fugit...
  19. Indeed. It looks as if the content since Jan 23 is lost, though. Maybe later..?
  20. Ace!
  21. Thanks. Yeah and they look cool too! I’ve switched to Ibanez basses now and it doesn’t get played much any more.
  22. I need another two basses so I can get four in each photo! 🙂
  23. I'm offering this amazing cab as part of a general sell-off due to retirement from playing. It is about a year old, immaculate, gigged once and includes a Roqsolid cover. It weighs 11kg but actually feels lighter! These are brilliant cabs and work very well on their own or in pairs or with a 1x15. I have the original box so postage is offered in the asking. If the buyer collects, I will reduce the price accordingly. No Trades I'm afraid.

  24. Pfft. 500 miles is a short trip in Aus. Near Brisbane to Melbourne to pick up a bass, and a pair of speakers, the latter of which I sold for enough to pay for the entire trip. 1700km e/w, driven pretty much directly, except for a couple of hours napping. It was about 50 something hours round trip. Bass was an Alembic S2.
  25. 🎉🍾 it’s back!
  26. I bought one of the 3D printed kits from Ebay. It just needs some 25mm x 25mm stripwood and eight woodscrews. I carefully cut the stripwood, 4 pieces, to the length I wanted. All good and I used some dark mahogany wood stain I had in the garage. There was a little bit of a wobble so I unscrewed the screws slightly and pressed on two corners to try to straighten it out. CRACK! B*gger. After calming down, I used the remainder of the wood to replace the broken brackets. I also added some feet to give an angle and some small blocks to add strength. Adding the new side pieces adds 50mm to the width, and it is now bigger than the padded bag I keep my pedal board in! Here it is with the wood colour on again:
