  3. That’s today I’d like the 2x Dadario set Will pm you
  4. No. CTS pots might not be what you need. It's important to measure the diameter and length of the shafts. CTS are large and generally suitable for USA-made instruments. Bourns or Alpha are alternatives that are different sizes. I have a vintage high end Yamaha that recently had new pots and I went for Alpha because they were the same size as the originals. If I fitted CTS, I would have had to have reamed out the holes and that would be absolutely off limits on such a treasure. As usual, the answer to the question is, "it's depends".
  5. Yes, it's Lenspeed; I've had experience of them. They are great for moving expensive kit and instruments, but not economical at this price point unfortunately.
  6. Well, it has been nearly two months, so hey-ho and up she rises, etc. Bump.
  7. @N64Lover - can I ask, is this manufacturer in the UK?
  8. Yes - have messaged you.
  9. In excellent condition and full working order. Velcro on base, but easily removed if not wanted. Comes with original box and paperwork. £150 posted.
  10. Dodgy luthiers stay in business through customers like this. They send out shonky rubbish knowing that some customers are marks who won't ask for refunds and will keep the identity of the builder a secret so others can fall into the same trap.
  11. Open to trades of an HX Stomp or will take £400 cash pound notes Ok this was for a project but I no longer need it. This is a brand new Allparts Jazz neck, never installed of used. Since purchasing I have added a Fender Logo supplied by Rothko & Frost and a bone nut. The frets have been dressed, fretboard oiled and it's in beautiful condition. David Wilson then completely finished the neck in lacquer with a lovely tint on the face, his work is outstanding. In total this neck owes me about £600

  15. Overwater were( and I am sure still are) top quality craftsmen-built instruments. Even a more modest model like this will be exceptionally well-made. Given the way trends have gone in basses, I'm slightly surprised this model of bass hasn't been revived by Overwater. It's got a style and sound that would be very attractive to a variety of modern musicians. Definitely a rock/ indie bass, but with a lot of interesting stuff going on behind the scenes. I'd love to have one of these basses nowadays, if only to pretend I'm John Entwistle in the privacy of my own home.
  16. Price drop to £1100 and edited the part-ex’s a little. Si
  17. All good! Yes it is exactly the same, the only difference is the control layout so you're right.
  18. I was watching this yesterday. Classic of Series 1. Those crafty little Binars!
  19. I’ve gone back to using a head and cab, so my Markbass combo is up for grabs. It’s a great amp, deceptively loud for its size and in good condition (although the handle is looking a bit worse for wear). Looking for £425 collected from Haywards Heath, or I’d be happy to meet halfway within a reasonable distance. Better photos, proof of ownership etc to come but here are some for starters.
  20. Who they? This isn't X or Truth Social - most people on here care about their basses and about each other.
  21. This is probably not adding any value to the conversation but here goes. Isn’t the body shape essentially the same as a Jaguar bass? The difference is in the electronics, so apart from that aspect, I struggle to see how this could be described as a prototype. Sorry, I know that didn’t add any value but it did seem like a poor excuse for shoddy work. I’m glad the luthier is sorting it. Hold his/her/their feet to the fire. I still think you should be given a part refund/discount for the inconvenience. I hope it works out for you.
  22. Man that looks geeky. In a good way, you understand. It's beautifully uncomplicated in appearance. I bet it looks good with all the valves warmed up and the lights down. Why do you need a top handle? It's asking for the whole unit to be mishandled if you aren't there. Side handles would mean a two handed lift which is less likely to result in knocks or worse. Just a feeling you understand, I'd feel safer. Plus, you'd get to keep a nice clean top on it. Great build thread. Thanks for sharing.
  23. If these are his pics before he sent it, you cant see the scrapes near the bridge that you can see on yours after delivery. Must have happened in the packing/shipping/storage stage.
