  1. Past hour
  2. Gigged one the other day! Shame that they’re not getting as much use and love as deserved 😖
  3. All unused, top quality sets. Double ball ends but possibly can be used for shorter basses. 37” length. (I could use the outer strings on my standard scale bass but would rather sell as sets). * Newtone 5 string sets x 6: Diamond Bass, hex core, stainless steel, 46-130, length 37” (ball end to ball end) with tapered B. £25 each (discount for multi purchase) ( I also have a Hot Wires 5 string flat wound set…pm me)
  4. *PRICE INCLUDES UK POSTAGE * Wicked pedal! Tracks beautifully. Only selling as I’m now using multi-effect unit. In great condition (I may even have original box…can’t find at the moment m). Does an octave below and/or above. Also has an independent boost effect. Blurb here: Octavius tri-tone generator has 4 controls LO OCT, HIGH OCT, MASTER MIX and BOOST. LO OCT knob lets you set the volume of the lower octave signal produced by the pedal. HIGH OCT knob controls the volume of the higher octave signal produced by the pedal. The balance between the levels of these 2 knobs is what creates your particular octave-divided sound. Experiment with your mix, and you’ll be amazed at the variety of effects you’ll get. MASTER MIX knob lets you set the overall volume of your low and high octaves compared to your direct signal. Use the BOOST knob to control the output of your octave-divided sound. The boost function lets you dial in a solo level, whether the overdrive circuit is activated or not.
  5. Delivery within reason possible….
  6. Right….here is a fantastic representation of ‘Fender’ Jazz style bass. The construction is highly regarded in the ‘jazz copies’ world. Being more of a 5 sting player, I put it together with great upgrades for an upcoming project but the video guys preferred a solid colour vintage looking bass, which I now own and upgraded (‘ing’….nearly finished). This fantastic bass now plays and sounds far superior than the price (and brand) suggests, but owes me £500 +……nearest to that would make me happy (collected preferably but can post if buyer covers p&p). (Willing to drop off if within a reasonable distance or en route somewhere). I can try to recover the cost by stripping it back to original and selling bass and parts separately but that would be a shame as it went remarkably well so I’m going to try to sell it as is…. In great condition with no obvious or major damage etc…I hope the pics do it justice and I will list the mods done. Feel free to question me but take my word…you will not be disappointed with this superb instrument. KSD bass £250, East J-Retro deluxe preamp £100, EMG’s £100, Badass 2 bridge £45, Brass nut £10, Tuners £45, Ernie Ball strings £25. I’ll describe the sound as fat and snappy. My favourite combination of East and EMG wins again. The feel is fast with a flatter radius than Fender stuff so really comfortable and easy on the ‘bends’. What do we think lads?🤞🏽

  9. We've had reports in about an individual using multiplle accounts approaching sellers in the market place on behalf of a friend. His method is to invite further conversations with that friend via email off site. He seems friendly and has certainly posted on here to give off a friendly and laid back vibe. We can't emphasise strongly enough that you don't email that address and for anyone who has paid a deposit, use a form of payment that can be easily reversed.

  10. My solution to making my NS NXT sound more “acoustic” is to use a TC Impulse pedal loaded with the superb 3Sigma IR’s. This then goes into one channel of an EBS Stanley Clarke preamp then off to the PA or amplifier from there.
  11. From the internet (so it must be true): For Harley Benton, caramelized and roasted are not the same thing. Caramelized is cheaper (its offered on €140 models like ST-62) and purely cosmetic. The wood is darkened/colored with some process that only effects the surface. Roasted is more expensive (models start at €300) and improves stability. A roasted neck is roasted throughout, if you saw it in half it will be the same color throughout.

  13. Reni was (probably still is) a staggeringly good drummer. Pete Townsend tried to nab him for some of his solo stuff, and likened his natural carefree playing to that of Keith Moon. His and Mani’s styles complimented each other so well. Some of the rehearsal footage in Shane Meadows’ documentary/film is wonderful, with the dynamic duo just laying it down with not a care in the world. They made it look all so easy. And fun. Never forgetting fun…
  14. A very versatile compressor in good working order. Bought from @GisserD a few months ago but now surplus to requirements. Clean Velcro on underside. No original box but will be well packaged. Price includes UK postage.

  20. These are Absolutely fantastic , units I use one as a Tubescreamer , a RAT and a Big muff , this thing gives you all the benefit of " behaving like analog pedals with blend functionality but with the flexibility of pugging the thing in and swapping the "Pedal sim " for somthing else on the menu . A huge stable of options , And even the ability to switch it from " toggle to latch" for those ... i want my Fuzz in the Chorus only moments, So much versatility for the price , bargain.
  21. The spec says "Bolt-on neck: caramelised Canadian hard rock maple with Roseacer skunk stripe". Are they lying?
  22. I picked up a HoTone Thunderbass 5 watt amp for a song on kijiji. Fairly cheap , it looked like a funky little thing , total impulse buy. I had a nice practice rig , so I didn’t spend much time using a speaker with it , but I was surprised by the time I spent using it as a headphone amp. Had a mini aux in so I could plug in a tablet and play along. I was spending considerable time with the headphones memorizing material. I didn’t want to drive Herself bonkers. Later I found a Phil Jones BigHead on kijiji , the HoTone worked wonderfully but I couldn’t resist the PJ. It’s a more elegant solution. Before the HoTone I had been using a GK MB200. It also has a mini aux input. Many little Class D heads can be run without a load , and have a mini input. https://i.postimg.cc/B68wBfcn/IMG-2672.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/G2358s95/IMG-0060.jpg

    NBD Bongo 4

Interesting read, cheers. I gigged the Bongo last night. Sounded great and attracted very favorable comments 👌
  25. Just finished with a hour to the deadline. This is the ritual of visiting the seaside as seen by an observer from another planet. Instruments and fx from logic plus Epiphone Casino, Fender Starcaster bass, Fender Mustang GTX100, Shure SM58.
  26. Yes, check it. I’d use a known good stereo lead and a multimeter set to continuity or diode mode and see which one goes to tip, ring or sleeve.
