I've never been to Bristol, but I hope the fog doesn't look like that! Seriously, though, I feel sorry for anyone who recently bought a Junior Jet and can't buy this one now. It looks great!

As someone of a certain age, and having Bronchiectasis (think COPD but not self-inflicted) I am interested whether any of you do anything to stay fit enough for gigging?
-
It's exactly as @krispn says. For the life of me, I could never understand why they did that. I hated the tones from the "scooped" section of the travel, and there wasn't enough control in the regular tone section. Replaced it with a wonderful Stellartone Tonestyler, and never looked back, ably fitted for me by Feline Guitars for a tenner. Just curiosity really, I'm more of a P than a PJ-er.

Best preamps out there, this one is literally brand new but surplus to requirement at present, note this is the Volume/ volume version (see diagram) no soldering needed just connect to earth and pickups via screw terminals, with original box, the retail from east uk at £180 so this is a significant saving , thanks for watching, I’ll include postage in the UK

Thank goodness it's not just me. I'm not running a business where profit is a factor.

Tech 21 Sansaml VT Bass DI. Bought last month for £259.99 - as new apart from duo lock on base which will be removed. Boxed with manual/stickers/warranty card etc. One of the very best preamp/DI’s out there without a shadow of a doubt - does all the Ampeg sounds and plenty more, from clean to fuzzy OD, and this version has a blend knob too setting it apart from the older ones as you can have higher gain without losing clarity or low end £170 inc RM Tracked 24 delivery Video on the VT Bass 👇

I respectfully disagree We have much, much older threads that come back to life, sometimes with the OP involved and sometimes not. There’s food in my fridge that’s older than this one -
Hi all. This is a fantastic bass and in great condition. I have never gigged, rehearsed with it a few times and mainly played at home but that’s it. Just finding it’s not really what I am looking for and I am using my Heavily modded P Bass for most of my playing at the moment. For the interests of clarity and honesty there are a few small chips around the neck pocket which I have tried to picture, I think it’s from where the neck has been taken off to be adjusted as it’s a butt end adjustment. It appears that when the neck has been put back on, it appears that they’ve gone a bit tight on the neck plate as there appears to be the marks in the finish around the plate, as I have tried to picture in the photos. It was like this when I bought it from Richtone June 2024, I haven’t had the neck off. This is just in the finish, it’s only really noticeable if you go looking for them and it doesn’t structurally effect the bass in anyway. Other than the finish issues at the neck pocket and neck plate, the bass is in great shape, shows some light playing marks as to be expected but nothing, other than the metioned neck pocket, that breaks the surface, it plays superbly with DR Hi Beams 45’s on it, it sounds exactly as it should tonally and it has been well looked after by myself. All the case candy is still in its packaging. Ideally and preferably i’m after a trade/swap for a P/J Style Bass like a Fender US Deluxe/Elite, Spector Euro 4, Yamaha BB2024x/BBP34 or a G&L USA L1500 or L2000 (maple board) or Lakland MM/J (maple board). Can be swayed by a 5 string version of any of the above as well. Price on the listing is reflective of trade value. Would be happy to sell as well, but have a preference for trade/swap at this point. I am happy to answer any or all questions. Please don’t think that the above list is set in stone in terms of trades and happy to hear cash offers. Thanks. Below is all the information from Fender. FTelletronica Sub Octave clean octave pedal which is apparently based on the Ampeg sun blasted. Awesome for use live just to fatten up basslines/riff, under guitar solos in a trio, bass solo’s etc - it’s not an anvil is in your face OC2 synth octave but it’s way more useable IMO. I imported it direct from FTelettronica in Italy and I use it a lot, I’m not keen on selling it really but needs must! Bass the World did a great video on it which is what persuaded me as I had been trying to get an Octamizer to basically do what this does up until I got it! Also works well on guitar Standard 9v pedalboard power supply £85 shipped RM Tracked 24 Bass The World FTelettronica

eBay are really quite underhanded with their latest round of marketing... The format used to be that a seller pays a fee to list an item and the buyer didn't pay a fee. Now the fee is transferred to the buyer under the guise of a 'buyers protection fee' and is charged at a higher rate than the old sellers fee. So now they market to all as 'free to sell' and mention nothing of the increase in cost to buyers. Legal sure, but very morally questionable. But hey, that's business for you!

I think it's related to ebay (and probably others) offering to sell items with no fees for listing. People stick things on for crazy prices thinking that if it doesn't sell its no loss and that they might get a big windfall. People with stuff to sell then see these items and think that's the market price, they then put their items on for these unrealistic prices. A small weekly listing fee could probably change this.

I did the same a few weeks ago, and spotted a Maya Ricky copy in great condition at a bargain price. See Happy Jack's thread. The other thing I like about Hobgoblin in Canterbury is that they keep all the value-subtraction instruments such as cajons, didgery-doos, bodhrans, shaky eggs and so forth together in one area of the shop, so I can avoid going into that corner altogether. I've also had great service from the Rathbone Place shop a number of times, and sold a couple of instruments through them before they put their commission charges up to the current 40%.

Having a bit of a streamline of my pedalboard and looking to let these beauties find a new home. Sansamp Programmable Bass Driver DI You know the deal, industry standard preamp/DI functionality - this one has 3 switchable channels allowing you to vary your tone/drive as required. A great pedal that's been a key part of my board but no longer required due to my GK 700RB amp. Excellent condition comes with the box. SOLD MXR M85 Bass Distortion A flexible bass distortion based on the famous RAT circuit this one has both the original RAT and Turbo RAT circuits switchable via a push button. Sounds great and in excellent condition apart from a few small chips in the paint. SOLD Seymour Duncan Studio Bass Compressor Really versatile workhorse compressor that gets great reviews on sites like Ovnilabs - https://www.ovnilab.com/reviews/vicegrip.shtml. A few battle scars to the paintwork but apart from that it's in great nick. Looking for £110 posted EHX Bass Clone Chorus Bought this last year looking for a Peter Hook kind of sound as it's a modern version of the original EHX Clone Theory. Hardly ever used, comes with the box. SOLD Behringer BDI21 Bass Driver DI Cheap clone of the famous Sansamp Bass Driver DI, does a fantastic job considering the price differences. It's a superb example of Carol Kaye's bass of choice from 2002. These don't come up too often. Condition is remarkable for the age. It's even got the plastic film on the cavity covers. It's Korean-built and we know they know how to do neck-through properly. The build quality is stunning as is the grain of the ash wings. The neck profile is what I'd call slim modern J. Controls are: Vol, Blend, Treble, Bass. It's been deep cleaned and set up beautifully (med/low) with D'Addario EXL170BT strings. that's a balanced tension set. As per all my rosewood board instruments, it's been treated with Montypresso. Frets are level and polished to 7000 grit. All electronics have been checked and all pots cleaned. New battery fitted today. Truss rod is perfect. It's 4.4kg. I've got proper packaging and am happy to ship insured at buyers expense, which will be about £30. If you're undecided and fancy trying it out, I can usually accommodate a try-out with some notice weekdays or weekends.
