Sorry to hear you're having to return the Mighty Plug, but thank you for the info on the MLD, sounds like I'll be picking one up in the future.

NUX Mighty plug pro poor battery time
soulstar89 replied to soulstar89's topic in Accessories and Misc
sorry for late response I was cycling around London on my Brompton so I was shattered when I got back late. on the issue I think I’m going to return it. I tried it with the iPhone headphone but not for more than 20mins. I’ve got down time today at home with just editing so I’ll do more testing. on the difference in sound. I honestly think the MLD pedal was a little more richer in sound and sound less digital. I’m still trying to get a decent tone from the mighty plug pro. It sounds muddy. Brain tells me to lower bass and increase mids but not finding that sweet spot. If you like the mighty plug pro you will really like the MLD. I think it will shine more on a pedal board rather than a silent practice tool imo. Through a cab is nice tbh. If your amp has an effects loop return then it’s gold. -

martthebass started following Do you use your “best” bass on gigs?

At the minute I tend to use my cheapest bass on most gigs (a Sandy Lionel) but that's only because it's the most suitable for this band and the majority of the venues we play. I do have one case queen (a Status CW1) that was bought for me with money left by my Mum so I have a sentimental attachment, however it gets played often at home and is not a wall ornament.

PRICE NOW DROPPED TO £300. Easily the best speaker cabinet I have ever used: am downsizing to lighter Genz Benz cabs as I rarely play live now. The Eden D210XST Cab is loud enough to be heard and yet still small enough to be used at home or in a small studio. For those players who need a portable, high-performance rig with even more low end than the XLT, Eden has designed a 2 x 10" cabinet for their XST woofers. Punchy and clean, the D210XST produces a full and clear tone through its two 10" speakers. It's excellent for delivering articulate bass lines with volume. This 2 x 10" cabinet handles more power than many 4 x 10" cabs on the market. The D210XST offers huge bottom end with its cleverly-designed tuned and ported cabinet construction and speaker selection: the low end is full but tight, the mids are open and well-defined and the highs are clear and crisp. Durable build quality makes this ideal for touring and live performances. All Eden enclosures are constructed with 5/8" thick void free plywood with full dado and rabbet jointing. Massive internal bracing prevents vibration and keeps the sound deep, tight and clear. Exclusive Eden Cast Frame loudspeakers and Eden Cast Bell low distortion tweeter horns are designed, hand-built and tested in their own factory in the USA. Very Good condition. Comes with an official Eden cover. Power Handling: 500 Watts Impedance: 8 Ohms Speakers: 2x10" Eden-spec Eminence EC1060XS speakers Tweeter: Eden Cast Bell low distortion Crossover: 3.5KHz @ 18dB Frequency Response: 30Hz - 14KHz Sensitivity: 103dB SPL Connections: Parallel 1/4 Inch and Speakon Dimensions: 23" w x 18" h x 18.5" d Weight: 59lbs / 26.8kg NOW ONLY £300. Collection from East London preferred, although happy for buyer to arrange a courier.

GreeneKing started following Mark Bass MB58R 122 P-4 (2 x 12 4 ohm cab)
-
Here's my Markbass cab up for sale. It is in near new condition and includes a Roqsolid cover. The top carpet has a couple of indents where the amp was placed on it. Other than that minor sign of normal use it's as new. It has been used several times at rehearsal at very low volume levels and at one gig where it was only used as a monitor as I was going through the PA. It is a great cab. A real one cab solution weighing approximately 18Kg or 40lbs. I'm 70, under 11 stone, have osteoporosis and have suffered a spinal fracture and I'm happy to lug it around. Specs briefly are 2 x 12" ceramic speakers 600 watts Piezo switchable tweeter with 2 levels of attenuation 57.8 x 60 x 47 cm https://www.markbass.it/product/mb58r-122-p-4/ Tone is very Markbass, i.e. effective. Collection or meet up only. I'm in Kendal, Lake District, NW England.

I've had this a few years but barely used it. It's always lived in a flight case when not in use and is pretty much good as new. 16 mic/line inputs, loads of outputs and fx built in, more routing options than you can shake a stick at. Comes with an Apple Airport Express wifi router to give you remote operation with tablet of mobile. A big old lump so collection or meet up only please.

This is pretty tame sauce compared to what goes on on social media. I just read through it and to be honest I think most of it was pretty relaxed. I think you're making a bit too much of it - don't be precious. If you ignore your hurt feelings and actually read the thread, you'll find advice in here - for instance you'd get a better price if you redid the covering. How is that negative? Here's some direct negativity for you - I think the cab looks bloody awful. So what? What of it? Why do you care what I think? If you like it, you're not wrong. -

I recently got a message from the leader of one band that I was kind of in. Basically standing in until they found a permanent bass player. With date and details of a gig he'd booked us for. It confuses me how some of these people ever got organised enough to learn how to play an instrument.
