  2. My understanding is that you can attach as many bolts/inserts as you like. They are not pre-drilled.
  3. I guess if the average Joe Public looks in a music shop, everything looks shiny and new. I'm in the fortunate position where the singer/guitarist I've worked with for about 35 years regularly says that I have the best bass sound he's ever heard. However, that's just in trio/duo situations. In the live tribute show, my sound is thoroughly buried by five other noise makers. Ah well.
  4. Using a Fender strap on a bass that isn’t a Fender
  5. The Fender tone stack is bass and treble cut to 2/10, mids 10 /10 for as flat as possible.

  8. Yes. They had several branches locally in Essex during the 1970’s. Not specialists, but at that time they served my need for strings, straps, picks etc. For serious bass stuff I’d often take a trip to Liverpool Street and walk to the Bass Centre in Wapping. Although that was probably in the 80’s or later.
  9. All seemingly OK as I hit 70 years old. Still gigging in a couple of local acts. A duo and a five piece function band. Retired some 2. years ago. Curious about your new location but tell me privately via email. Regards
  10. This amp is now £400 on Amazon. Incredible. I will drop the price for the amp, adapter, pedalboard and case to £500, which is still a good deal I think, but I really cannot go any lower. If it doesn't sell at this price I will just keep it as a spare.
  11. Can we go back to the first statement in the thread. Please justify four basses to yourself otherwise many of us are in deep trouble…..
  12. @Bagman the 4” wide leather straps from The Bass Gallery are on all my basses (including 2 x Warwicks). They look good, last for years and are very comfortable.
  13. It was never like that back in the day Nostalgia isn't what it used to be 😂
  14. Location: Teesside (N.E.)
  15. Cool, that's what we do now on our analogue mixer+headphone amp and looking forward to the day we get an XR to do the same. Another band I play in has started to use an X32 (desktop, not rack, version) but the friend owning it has yet to figure out our individual mix control.
  16. Stay with the Force, do not stray to the Dark Side …
  17. I've not done that approach but it's a good idea. I struggled for a while with the EQ on my terror head (second edition) but over the years have settled on this eq. Sometimes I vary the treble a bit depending how old my strings are. I'm always playing a P bass with a pick and round wound strings so this won't suit everyone. - Bass at 25% ( or 9 using the hands of a clock approach) - Mids at 75% (3 on a clock) - Treble about 40/50% Paul
