On a whim, I've picked up the Behringer Solina recreation and I'd like to use it at gigs, using a cheap(ish) MIDI keyboard. I've currently got an old Novation Remote SL25, which is a bit too small (ideally want 3 octaves) and a Kawai electric piano (which isn't portable). I'm looking for a 37 key keyboard and I think it will need to have a traditional 5-pin MIDI output. The Solina has a 5-pin and a USB-B, the Kawai just has USB-B, the Novation has both but the 5-pin seems to be disabled when it's powered via the USB port... I'm also led to believe that connecting two USB-B ports together doesn't work. The module only arrived today so I've just been testing it out by plugging the keyboards and the Behringer itself into a laptop but this is causing terrible lag between hitting a note and the sound emerging (which doesn't happen when using the same keyboards via USB to trigger soft synths. So... am I looking for what appears to be a rare thing (a reasonably priced 37-key keyboard with 5-pin port) or is there some way of connecting two USB ports together without a laptop that will allow for latency-free live use? This is fairly new ground to me so please speak slowly and imagine you were speaking to someone far more at home twanging wires stretched over planks of wood.

I've taken this in a trade... as much as I've been impressed by these my forays into digital haven't been successful and I've no intention in starting afresh with another unit! Please forgive the text from it's previous advert... everything is applicable and i couldn't have worded it better! Immaculate 12-month-old MKII Turbo (the one with the faster processor and larger screens). Purchased direct from G66 with 2 years of transferable warranty remaining. It’s been babied and well looked after. The Package: £999 • Fractal FM3 MKII Turbo: Mint condition, all original boxes/paperwork. • Pedalnetics QuadAux: Adds 4 extra switches (effectively an 7-button unit). • G66 Padded Gig Bag: Brand new/unused. • Extras: Includes a high-quality USB-C cable (direct connection, no hub needed). Optional Board Setup: The unit is currently mounted on a Temple Audio Duo 17 with a Fender Engine Room LVL5 (isolated power) and IEC module (one-plug power setup). The board is well-used and modified for cabling but rock solid. I’d prefer to sell the whole lot together and I am happy to discuss a deal if you want the full board and power supply. Details: • I’ll help with the G66 warranty transfer. • Includes a lot of professional bass presets as well as the default guitar presets. Tracked and Insured postage doable, collection from Swanley, or to be honest, a lot of places due to gigs, very welcome!

Barber Linden EQ Pedal. Baxandall style EQ pedal, similar in style to a B15/Fender amp EQ but with some interesting options on the toggle switches. Remarkably similar to the Noble DI in the way that these interact and a lovely parter to the JF Luce DI as I've found out this week. Price includes UK Postage.

Hello, I bought a Sire P3 just for the body, as it was in the exact colour I needed for a project....I do not need the neck, therefore it's for sale. Literally took it out the box and unscrewed the body from the neck. Comes with neckplate, screws, truss rod adjustment tool etc...never been played, tuning pegs still have the plastic om them. Pickup preferred, but can also post anywhere... Cheers, James

As far as I can see, Gen Z and Gen A are not interested in AI music at all. All the kids I know are listening to CDs in their rooms and buying DVDs out of frustration with the streaming services. Radiohead are popular with the youth again for their authenticity. Snapchat is the last social media standing, and only because it's used as a messenger. The next generation is already tired of fake filters and algorithms. Whilst it's incredible technology, if anything I think the backlash against AI will mean more live music - and music that focuses on tangible instruments, texture and real-life sounds. I doubt there will be any money left in music production though, just live events.

I wholeheartedly concur with @Silky999 - this is a spectacular little bass with a rich and full sound - We even tuned the pickup angles between us, so it sounds perfectly even between each string. If I hadn't taken a 5-string Maruszczyk Mr.Tee Shortscale in P/X last week, I'd be having this myself! The engraved 'MGCS Basses' logo on the body is next level cool, too.
