Decided to put up my awesome (and unfortunately no longer made) Spector LT5 in Violet Fade for sale. This has been my main touring bass for the last two years and has seen some action at Glastonbury, Green Man and many more festivals that I can't even remember! Despite being my main bass I have really looked after the bass and it's in excellent condition. No dings or dents just light surface scratches that every guitar gets from being played! The bass has a 3 piece maple neck with alder body wings and a very nice flamed maple top, which is almost holographic and almost impossible to photo! 😂 The bass has a very nice ebony fingerboard, MOP Spector crown inlays, Gotoh lightweight tuners, brass nut, Dunlop straplocks, Custom wound to Spector spec Bartolini pickups and Darkglass preamp, and thr finish is so good it's ridiculously reflective and shiny.. again making it difficult to take good photos! The bass plays very nicely and sounds phenomenal. The bass is 35" scale and the low B is the best I've experienced on a high end bass. Currently strung with Dunlop Super Bright Steels. Sale includes the Spector gig bag. Looking for £1800 due to excellent condition and I think collection is needed. I have the boxes it came in but I don't feel comfortable shipping it without a hardcase.

Slow down, talking in terms of whole turns is making me nervous! What are you trying to do - straighten the neck, or allow more relief? Because that's all the truss rod does - adjust neck relief. It has an effect on it but it is not the primary means of adjusting the string action (ie. height).

well … any integer or rational number divided by 7 is a rational number, since 7 is also an integer. 3/7 = rational (3/7) /7 =3/49 = rational 🤓 -

His tone was pretty consistent between live and studio. Bear in mind that recording bass in the early '70s he would have probably gone straight into the desk while live it could have been that or more likely miked up speakers. This is probably the gold standard live recording of Andy Fraser: Note the very badly positioned (ribbon?) Microphone placed lined up with the centre of the four speakers about a foot out and angled down a bit. Surprising they got a decent tone... He gets a similar but brighter tone on the studio recording of mr big: I suspect he used the bridge mute on his EB3 as well as a lot of muting by alternating index and middle right hand fingers Flats? Probably. If I want an Andy Fraser sound I'd choose my Squier Jazz fitted with old style mutes.

Even after more turns, the credit card test gives the same results. I did more turns in a short time, but I didnt hear any sound of the trussrod breaking. Yet now my strings are completely the same, stuck at the point of being too loose. What to do? Can I somehow fix my strings? Is my trussrod okay? I would be so much grateful if anybody helped me. I dont have budget for a new bass and I wana do gigs with my friends and train to be a rockstar. And not lose it to messing with trussrod. I would really thank so much everyone for helping

Because playing with a pick is so much easier, I do think it's cheating -
I think I might need to investigate darker torts. Great - another thread that will cost me money. Thanks a bunch!
