  1. Past hour
  2. Sadly not, I did that on video one, it still pops up, turns up on other videos, turns up on facebook, even when you select 'don't show me content like this' his smug annoying face turns up on the next thing, and even when you think he has gone, someone else will post his inane dribblings about how someone else is the problem with the world.
  3. I bought two reall cheap 'par' lights that just turned out to be non-dmx with an ir controller identical to those used for light bulbs. One set to a warm yellow and the other to a magentaish colour either side of us are useful as some constant illumination. The lasers @Phil Starr mentions are a great idea. A bit hit and miss about what you get, I have three and one is rather more powerful. I always aim them up at the ceiling.
  4. Ive managed to find a guitar box, so delivery is now an option
  5. Ah! Didn't realise that. That makes sense now. I was going to put a grill on as well. So matt black(or red Hammerite) is fine on the baffle.
  6. Can't watch anything that has him in it. Totally hate his personality and style. Probably a really great guy. Seems a bit of a Karen to me though.
  7. I painted the baffle Matt Black as Tuffcab is not a good idea in a baffle. I stopped the Tuffcab at the inside edge and started the Matt Black from there.
  8. Click on the three dots to the right of a video title of his - choose "Don't recommend channel", job's a good 'un.
  9. Andertons have even done a big interview with him on their YouTube channel which I thought was a little unusual.
  10. Ok, not an image and might have been seen before, but this really ‘spoke to me’…
  11. Stop being coy - get off the fence and tell us how you really feel...
  12. Child In Time - Deep Purple
  13. You are right, he is everywhere, all over youtube and all over here. If I never saw a video with his face on it again it would still be too soon. While I find it hard to accept the idea of hating someone you don't know, he is someone who could change that feeling for me. Don't know what it is, just absolutely detest videos with the guy.
  14. I like him. I like his irreverant short Yorkshireman schtick and that he's, obviously, a tidy player behind it. From the serious moments in his or others videos he seems a nice guy as well.
  15. I used SIT strings a while back. Didn't think there was anything particularly different about them to any other budget string, although I did like that they felt kind of rough/gritty. Been using Elixirs for years. No reason to stray from these.
  16. I don't know if it is big brother influencing my youtube feed, but he seems to be everywhere in bass related content at the moment. I quite like the guy. While he isn't a virtuoso like Berthoud or Wooten, he does seem to be a good player with a lot of character, and if music is about performing he has that nailed. He also comes across well on camera, and while his punk persona is fun, there does seem to be a more thoughtful person (and player) under the safety pins. Mind you I'd be scared to meet him in person! (and yes I know there is another thread about the music thieves he exposed)
  17. Kids - Julie Christmas
  18. The Kids Are Alright - The Who
  19. Bought this from @woolf earlier this year and it is a superb bass - but with the arrival of a wee mini Bass Apprentice. I can't see me having the time to justify three 4 string basses in the house! So it's up for sale. Borrowing the previous ad (and a picture!) until I get some pictures - but the bass has been hung on the wall next to me since I bought it so it hasn't changed at all. Any questions fire away! Will source packing materials if necessary and can discuss postage costs.

  20. Today
  21. From the thread title, I thought this was going to be an erotic dating thread.....
  22. Thanks. Did you mask off the area where the speaker meets the front baffle? I would have thought that should be done, to ensure a tight fit, but happy to be advised otherwise. Rob
  23. I've had the horn for an Explorer for as long as I can remember and have considered building one from a kit; I just know in my heart that the expectation will be higher than the finished realisation. It's not in my nature to just go with the stock kit, I'd be putting different hardware on it to somehow elevate it to something better, but end of the day I'll be stuck with a finished kit guitar of very little value, which I'd probably end up breaking for spares. I check all the usual outlets and to be honest, I'd be happier just sourcing a Tokai one for less ££ than I'd throw at a kit/updates.
