  1. Past hour
  2. I find it amazing when people list a ton of stuff that shouts, 'I really want a Fender, but it's not got to be a Fender.' I have no real solution for you here but the open options a plentiful.
  3. Was that also Guitar Guitar?
  4. The suite is awful IMO. Fine for loading NAM profiles and IRs… but not much else. Hopefully Darkglass fix it. They’ve been good with updates so far.
  5. Had tracking confirmation that my Anagram will arrive tomorrow. Mrs Buccaneer and I are both at work, so it may well get sent back to the parcel place. But keep everything crossed, I’ll leave work as early as I can! 😀
  6. The bass looks great with a tortoise guard on it. I might put one on mine at the moment it’s got aged pearl one on it.
  7. I had an anagram (and pretty much every other modeller it seems) and I keep coming back to the QC. Even with parallax now available, I still prefer the tone I’ve made and I’ve yet to find something elsewhere that sounds as good to me. But I do run a complex chain on the QC tbf. Anagram is great and probs would have done the job for most instances. I preferred it to the Fractal FM3 and Kemper stuff. But didn’t knock the QC off. Size of the anagram is ace. I would try both if you can.
  8. Decided to withdraw this. I’ve got one of the active limited (7/25) so they can stay together. 😊
  9. The cheap flats I’ve just put on my Jazz bass are these Adagio ones and they’re really nice. Better feel to me than the Fender Flats I’ve previously used. But, for whatever reason I now have a bit of a rattle on my A string when played open. Can only assume it’s because they’re lower gauge, so sitting lower in the nut and not giving any break angle to the string post? Maybe 🤷‍♂️ It’s not awful though. But, the strings are really nice on my jazz. Keeping them on I think, assuming I can get the rattle sorted.
  10. Now that's just beautiful.
  11. Curious. I can't find anything anywhere else on the net about this. This is quite literally the only source. 🫤
  12. Ah, but consider; https://youtu.be/xccLqr4jW7c?feature=shared
  13. Nah. I’ve found the setting I like and can’t be bothered changing about. Creatures of habit.
  14. 👍 I'll count my pennies and let you know.
  15. Having recently bought a Sandberg I’d happily recommend them, very good instruments, only thing is their necks are 39.5mm so slightly bigger than Jazz width.
  16. Hi there, Been playing most of my life on and off, trying to get back into it by forcing myself to take lessons from the masters Been playing double bass for far too long and lost my chops, need to repair it and then practice again, Bass guitar has always been a part of me. P Bass for ever. (with flats) My other parts are a Warwick Infinity SN and A Rickenbacker that I kinda hate playing but it has the stereo output so it's cool for 2 rigs... I really need to downsize so will post a lost of gear ads, some really cool stuff that I kinda hate to part with, but need to get rid of... About rigs : I always wanted to holy grail : Ampeg SVT CL from the 1990s and the fridge 8x10... but I think my little mark 3 with 4x10 and 2x12 Mark bass cabs smokes it and I can carry it by myself! the Ampeg fridge is 80kg with wheels... They are for sale btw (the Ampegs)
  17. Pedaltrain JR Max pedalboard with softcase Board: 28" x 12.5" // 71.12cm x 32.75cm Never gigged or left home. Comes with the original hook&loop tape, cable ties, and carrying straps. Small scratch on the 'JR' part of the JR Max logo on the rear of the board, shown in pics. Collection preferred due to size. Message me if you have any questions
  18. You tempted to add all 3 modes on the pickups and the push pull tone cap on the volume like the real one?
  19. Yeah… I’ve got my 2 lookalikes…they’ll do for me. I did have an RBV about 10 years ago - was ace.
  20. That looks ace to me. 1. fretted or fretless…never both. 2. £14k? Feff…no. I reckon you could do something like that for about £300 in bits.
  21. Lincolnshire, hardly posh, it's basically a rural county few visit with the most popular tourist spots Skegness and Mablehorpe! Yeah, the stop/halt markings are in good nick generally, though the general road edges are in a right state at usually because of all the tractors and lorries carrying produce away. Bristol, maybe it's a city thing and/or an incompetent council. Even without the markings with a roundabout they should be stopping and not risking life and limb of anyone entitled to cross.
  22. That is absolutely magnificent. Were I feeling silly I'd probably buy that, I mean where else are you ever going to find one? I adore my L-Bow. Thankfully I know restraint these days but still... It's a one for the EU. The size of the case will result in a massive import cost, I would expect, and that's added into the taxable fee as it comes into the UK. Another downside of the bungled Brexit. I think mine was about £2200 in total with fees.
  23. Hey Steve, that mystery was solved upthread. The bass is a 70s Japanese copy, made by a factory called Chushin Gakki, and it pre-dates both the Chinese guitar industry & the advent of high-quality Korean-made instruments. Here's the translation:
  24. I would see what Alan Cringean at ACG Guitars could do for you first. That will probably violate your 1 month max wait criteria though so maybe not...
