  2. The static wash they use at every gig looks good.
  3. Just got a Harley Benton EUB! Yay! Anyone in the Bromley/Orpington/SE London area available to give lessons? Or maybe someone willing to run me through “how I switch from bass guitar without hurting myself” sort of stuff? It has a bow so I’d love help with how I use that! Cheers Wombat
  4. I mentioned this in the DMX thread. Although I have 4 par cans that are 4 chanel so I can run all 4 off two pages of faders by setting adresses to 1, 5, 9 and 13. My mini spots are 5 chanel? Go Figure. To keep the desk simple I program 1, 9, 1, 9. Losing about 12 channels, but I don't have hundreds of fixtures and multiple universes. This is where software comes in handy. Useful to have a cheat sheet printed referencing each page, fixture and what chanels you're using. In case you want to alter lights on the fly instead of using programmed scenes. Essential when programming anyway.
  5. Hi Chris, Seems I don’t automatically get a notification when someone replies! I’ve PM’d you the number. Terry
  6. Have you considered the possibility that it is not, in fact, your van, but that of a neighbour (same colour, by coincidence...)..? He/she is having the same issues trying to open your van..! ...
  7. This one is almost new. Strings from factory still have life in them…plays like butter! Includes original case.

  10. Our violinist doesn't do practice sessions, our mandolinist was ill, our band leader (clarinet) was unavailable and my van is off the road [1], so taking my double bass to practice wasn't possible. So with very little preparation I took my Roland piano accordion... and it was one of the best practices we've had in a long time! Perhaps there is something to be said for shaking things up once in a while. [1] and is still off the road - the central locking module is not recognising the key fob 'beepers' and putting the key in the door lock doesn't unlock the doors.
  11. Each data packet is 512 bytes and it runs at a baud rate of 250kbps. What issues are you encountering at 2.4GHz?
  12. A great track, and a great bassline. It has been a long-held ambition for me to learn this.
  13. It's a shame they don't standardise on the first five channels of every light being overall brightness/r/g/b/w.

  16. I have one and a 35" scale Spector fits in easily. I believe it's 124cm in total length. If you needed even more length you could take out the internal bumper pad. And, as others have said, the stick on bag is properly useful.
  17. Thanks for this. Yes, I am very surprised it's still here at this price...
  18. Doh. I was complaining about the lack of a DMX on the wall washer. The clue is RGB. Once you have the address set, the faders 1,2 and 3 on the controller control the Red Green and Blue LEDs. Doh
  19. Thanks Peter, The above is the reason for the doubt!
  20. Hey, I’ve just released a video lesson on the bass line to Christmas Wrapping by The Waitresses, and this is one funky bass line, recorded by bassist, 'Tracy Wormworth'. In the video, I break the tune down section by section and show you a simplified version of the main bass riff that still works perfectly with the original track. You’ll get a core riff you can reuse throughout the song, plus all the key variations you need to sound convincing. To make it easy to follow, there’s a free PDF with notation and TAB so you can learn it note for note at your own pace. Just hit play, grab the PDF, and you’re good to go for any festive jam, gig, or recording. Also look out on the channel for my play-through video of this simplified bass line with the original track which is coming out next week. Enjoy!
  21. I've always really liked these guys' lighting set up for a 3/4 piece band: https://www.instagram.com/reel/DR7JilxjEMB/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link&igsh=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==
  22. Alpher basses are beautiful instruments and so lovely to play. I have two of them that I bought from their workshop near Keighley. Chris and Alex are so knowledgeable and it shows in their instruments. Whoever buys this will get a great instrument at a great price. Good luck with the sale
  23. Who’s the go to person in the south coast now? I’m in Portsmouth, don’t mind driving for w bit. My precision needs some love and potentially new frets. Thanks
  24. I bought from James - great to deal with. Superb transaction from start to finish with great comms, well packaged item and it arrived super-quick. Thanks!
  25. Bought the ToneX from Paddy, smooth transaction for me, more trouble for him having to get the serials from IKMultimedia! Great transaction, thanks very much
