    It can't hurt to try, if that doesn't imply things it is also worth checking that the ground wire is making contact (I had mine years ago so can't remember what the wiring was like but I would assume that like most basses there is a ground wire under the bridge) single coils are noisy but they shouldn't be unusably so.

    It's fair to say it's an absolute plodder of a song. Even if the bass tone were fantastic I doubt I'd listen to it twice.

    Genuinely think this should be in a player’s tonal chain. Took out on a Jazz/Funk gig and it was smooth as butter!! Almost has me changing my mind…..just too much a luxury with the other stuff that I own and use!!

    *PRICE INCLUDES UK POSTAGE * Wicked pedal! Tracks beautifully. Only selling as I’m now using multi-effect unit. In great condition (I may even have original box…can’t find at the moment m). Does an octave below and/or above. Also has an independent boost effect. Blurb here: Octavius tri-tone generator has 4 controls LO OCT, HIGH OCT, MASTER MIX and BOOST. LO OCT knob lets you set the volume of the lower octave signal produced by the pedal. HIGH OCT knob controls the volume of the higher octave signal produced by the pedal. The balance between the levels of these 2 knobs is what creates your particular octave-divided sound. Experiment with your mix, and you’ll be amazed at the variety of effects you’ll get. MASTER MIX knob lets you set the overall volume of your low and high octaves compared to your direct signal. Use the BOOST knob to control the output of your octave-divided sound. The boost function lets you dial in a solo level, whether the overdrive circuit is activated or not.

    Please someone correct me if they know better, but I think this is a JM5, not a TM5. They were called JM back in the day, when they had that particular shaping in how the scratchplate joins with the controls. I’m only calling this out because JMs are bloody hard to find now!

    I think it has an Aguilar OB-2. It’s active with a switch so you can also play in passive. Devize manufacturer in Japan renowned for making quality instruments. Regards David

    He would have been 30 when private acts of homosexuality were decriminalised. I can understand why people over 60 have such entrenched views. Note: The actual law wasn't repealed until 2013! Up until then you could still be imprisoned for life for certain practices. It's going to be another 50 years before people will accept Gender and Sex are different and that both are not Binary. Science is slowly discovering how it all fits together, but while the politicians are in charge, it's going to be popular opinion and 'feelings' that determine the outcome of any debates, not the science and logic. The likes of Piers Morgan and LBC aren't going the help as they make a living by causing division.
