  1. Past hour
  2. The neck is narrowish near the headstock. Bit jazz bass style. Yes, great tonal options and punchy.
  3. Back up for sale. I’m selling my beautiful 2004 German-made Warwick Streamer LX Jazzman in Petrol Green – a seriously versatile and pro-level bass that’s built like a tank and sounds amazing. Lovingly looked after and in fantastic condition, gold hardware upgraded to black official Warwick hardware, new black Dunlop strap locks, and a new Just-A-Nut III brass nut, professionally fitted. Set up beautifully with a low action and new LaBella 40-100 stainless steel strings. Specs: • Swamp ash body with flame maple top • Bolt-on ovangkol neck with wenge fingerboard • 24 frets / 34” scale length • Just-A-Nut III brass nut (38.5mm width) • Warwick 2-piece brass bridge • MEC pickups: passive Jazz (neck) + MM-style humbucker (bridge) • 3-way mini toggle (series / parallel / single coil) • Active 3-band EQ (volume push-pull for passive bypass) • Weighs around 4kg – solid but very comfortable Condition: Very good overall. Some signs of use as expected for a bass of this age, but everything works perfectly. Frets are in great shape, neck is straight, and the electronics are super flexible. Uber versatile. This thing can do vintage warmth or modern bite with ease. Would prefer collection, but I have a proper box to post at buyers expense. Please make sure it is insured prior to sending. Also happy to meet within a 30 mile radius of Cardiff/Cowbridge/Bridgend. Any further questions, please feel free to ask. Cash on collection or bank transfer only please. Cheers ☺️☀️ PS Not looking for any trades. Thank you.

  4. These cabs do everything Phil put at the top of the ad. They are very good indeed
  5. Vanderkley 112EXT for Sale. 300 watts 1 x 12" speaker 8 ohms with Roqsolid cover. Great punchy sound and in very good condition. Collection only from Guildford area.
  6. Oh my, I think the bass gods are really toying with me; I was looking out for a Tune 5-string a while back (I have the TWB-6 and a couple of the later Korean models). Sadly, funds won't currently allow me to go for it but I can certainly vouch for the quality of these basses. Absolutely! GLWTS. 👍😎👍
  7. Being passive isn't the only factor - my Laklands are just more up my street, as I mentioned. It's still a lovely bass, but perhaps stands a better chance of being moved on unadulterated! 😉
  8. Bought yet another book from Mick. Great Comms, easy and efficient transaction - what a gent! Recommended 👍
  9. Thanks, the Bass tube screamer arrived today but I may get a Spark booster anyway as they are fairly inexpensive and popular so I am intrigued.
  10. It looks exactly the same on the PC and Mac. Never actually thought about it, or accidently clicked the choose files thing, but I can look into options there if it is enough of a hassle for people.
  11. I thought the font for the serial looked a bit strange though. Unlike other 64s I've compared.
  12. NEWAVLBP (not even with a very large barge pole).
  13. It's in an auction mate. Currently 1400. Was wondering whether it was worth a punt really. I think some bits really are 64
  14. Agreed. I'm doing this all the time.
  15. Found the other set of john east knobs which will come with it.
  16. I’m in this camp. Looks far too risky to investigate further and there will definitely be others that come along that are less questionable.
  17. If I have to work on one and replace it, I would normally choose brass as the substitute nut. Obviously, if its a vintage instrument then probably bone.
  18. Yes that's the one. Piers and Joe who run it are great.
  19. Is it vintage? Possibly, but it’s hard to tell. Neck looks twisted, frets look awful and the condition is atrocious. Personally I’d walk away as fast as I could. Assume asking £5k +++
  20. On my Mac's (Safari) there seems to be no indication where the text box ends and the area to select a file to upload begins. I can sort of tell, but the background seems to be the same as the text box, with no divider. A few times ive click a bit too low and the window opens up. I can see the curser change from text to an arrow, but personally id like to see a divider separating the two areas.
  21. I am now researching and answering my own post 😄 Warwick Just A Nut III for 4-string Basses, Plastic The current Just-A-Nut III is the most progressive design yet for a part that is so essential to the playability and sound transmission of the instrument. We have discovered Tedur, a polymer strengthened with fiberglass, whose outstanding abilities to transmit vibration was proven in laboratory tests, which then became the basis for further tests revealing that Tedur is extraordinarily resistant against breakage and wear. With that, Tedur has fulfilled all the expectations we’ve placed on a modern nut.
  22. Price drop - now 200 Selling this lovely Bitmap in great shape with original box - it's basically mint apart of velcro. These received significant software update last year with additional clipping modes etc. Red Panda has also very convenient web editor for presets. Happy to trade (with price adjustments) for interesting dirt pedals. Bitmap occupies my "loose spot" for additional dirt in pedalboard and I'm just happy to experiment. Basic overdrive I'm covering with Capo. The ones I would love to try are EAE, Damnation Audio, Broughton, Bearfoot, Hiero etc. Would've thrown 3leaf in but what are the chances

  23. I honestly have no idea. I saw a video a few days back where a chap was manufacturing nuts out of wooly mammoth bones/tusks, which (apparently) you can buy in Alaska - I thought this was pretty cool (no pun intended). Arguably the nicest nut I've had was on a Warwick Streamer...it was one of those brass adjustable ones that made tweaking a dream:
  24. Brass on all of mine, usually home made apart from my '98 Warwick Thumb and my CB fretless. See my BlazerRay and Vigier Passion threads in Build Diaries 👍🏼
