  3. Soul Dressing — Booker T & The MG's
  4. Pleasure. Stick and sub systems can be very good, but as is always the case, the ones that deliver the goods aren't cheap. The NXL24s go down to 65 hz (on paper, at least), so shouldn't need a lot of low end reinforcement. If you do go for them, I's start with one sub. The RCF 905 is guaranteed to work with them and you can always add another in the future if you need to. However, I'd be surprised if you do. Modern subs are so much better - more efficient, cleaner and louder - than the old boom boxes. You don't need stereo subs. Very low frequencies are omni-directional and a single sub can be placed optimally more easily than two.
  5. Fancy Sauce - Green Day
  6. Sadly full patch editing (my personal preference) has been nixed due to being too hard to fully implement the Flexi controllers with the limited panel display. 😔 I’m gutted as I spent quite a long time fleshing out detailed interface ideas for this. Patch organisation is already in and working though.
  7. Funny, quite the opposite for me. 38mm much preferred but we are all different.
  8. I had one built for me last year. It looked and sounded spot on but there were a few issues which meant I didn't keep it for long. Maybe I was unlucky, they certainly have a loyal following, but despite being clearly skilled at what they do I can't help feeling they rush the builds to keep up with demand. Happy to discuss more by PM.
  9. The new bassist in my old band is using a Tech21 Para Driver in front of his Markbass amp & 210 cab to get the signature Knock Off sound. Combined with his MIM Precision loaded with EMG GZR pickups it sounds great.
  10. Hard to see but they are deep brown.
  11. Not had this very long but unfortunately needing to move it along to pay for other things! It’s a rather rare pedal so if you are unfamiliar with it here’s a good video on it!
  12. Christmas Gravy Boat - Brian Pern
  13. My local club is the one venue where almost every band praises the sound. It is rectangular with all dimensions very different. The ceiling steps down at the far end, but is all suspended tiles that absorb sound well. This mesms there are no strong resonances. One side has several windows, but with curtains. Curtains across the patio-style door behind the band. The ends of (normally hidden) skittle runs each side create modest sound traps behind the band. The suspended floor gas heavyweight vinyl that seems to stop any booming. It sounds fairly dead with no noticeable reverb. Asudd from the curtains, none of this was deliberate, just a happy chance.
  14. Screws and washers have now been added from my other donor Sunn Mustang bass.

  21. REDUCED! NOW £155! Here’s my 1990 green label CE-2, in great condition. It makes awesome chorus sounds, and will continue to do so far longer than any plug in (ooh, controversial! 😂). I’ll even post it within the UK for free! I must be mad! Cheers!
  22. This seems to be the future with big set ups, no backline at all !
  23. When they resurrect the Big Al (HHH) bass, let's talk.
  24. Sure, plenty of people think they're ugly, but I can't remember how many times I've heard people say looks are the least important thing when considering a new bass. Other than that, I usually won't even pick up a bass and plug it in for a trial run if it doesn't catch my eye, and when it comes to Musicman basses, I think the Bongo is their best design. Of course, there are some basses do find ugly.
  25. They should just add the end lids like this... Ie no need to alter the abm, just add 2 clippable ends on. Lightweight, easier to use, looks cool.
  26. All excellent condition. Obviously case is showing marks from use. Also selling the pedals that were attached to this.
