  1. Past hour
  2. Certain brands are expensive, yes, but vintage stuff is not, by default, expensive. Anyone with the nous to avoid the obvious can bathe in vintage gear all they like for not too much outlay.
  3. Dave bought a Cioks PSU from me and it was a pleasure from start to finish. Enjoy!
  4. I had a look at some pics online and they look to be the ones. Nice and cheap as well. Thanks!
  5. I’m happy to look into getting a box from my local guitar shop and packaging it up if people were happy to organise their own courier for it. I’ve shipped cabs etc before with no problem but I’ve always been too worried about the neck getting damaged that’s all.
  6. Ring Ring - ABBA
  7. 1250£ I can not go any lower!
  8. I guess she doesn't have a spare bass to bring 🙂
  9. Why bother with secondhand? The truth is cheap instruments are really good now. It's not as if young people can afford vintage stuff anyway.
  10. Hell’s Bells - Bruford
  11. For £50 I’m very tempted to find out!
  12. Beautiful Rob, looks great
  13. I'm still nowhere near. However, I have a riff based on the central guy's body shape. His floor hand, other hand and knees, roughly make the shape of how a dominant 7th triad falls on a guitar. His feet stick out. So i have a riff based on dominant 7th with a little sticky out bit. I'll have a mystical section and maybe some mystical sounding melodies. Also the contortion/twisty idea. I'm gonna twist the scales I'm using as the piece goes on. Hope I can get it done in time
  14. Yellowjackets do that, a couple of 'singles' amongst the more demanding stuff. Been that was since the first album with Robben Ford on it.
  15. Today
  16. I had the Mesa D800 about 5 years ago and only had it for a matter of months. I found it very dull and unexciting...but the the Puma is anything but. For reggae boost the low mids, turn the treble to 10 o'clock and the tast to 3 o'clock and thers your sound👍
  17. I don't play the harmonica yet ... but I ordered one from Thomann and it'll be here early next week. It's their own 16-hole Chromatic 64 model. I work in quite an old, large building with whole wings that are unoccupied, and I'm often walking about, so my idea is that I can carry the harmonica wherever I go and try things out in-between other work. I find myself wishing I had some instrument on me to try whatever happens to be running through my head that day. A Chromatic makes more sense to me because I'm already moderately musically-literate, and the Solo tuning looks sensible. I don't see myself playing much Blues, Chicago or otherwise, though I might try that later.
  18. Just clicked on a few vids today, I hadn't been that interested tbh and then watching them it dawned on me. I was 12 yr when Paranoid was released and I suddenly remembered how shocking it was, kinda scary. Death, Grunge, and all the rest owe them large ... Anyway the old eyes welled up today, who'da guessed. Cheers Ozzy.
  19. I wouldn't know. Mine arrived last Thursday, but I was smitten with a foul lurgy, and am still out of the game. It will be plugged into my MB combo as soon as I'm able. Really looking forward to it.
  20. Think they’re Elite Stadiums
  21. Depends on the construction. Does this bass have a centre block supporting the bridge and for the tail-piece to screw into? Even if not the way the forces are angled with regards to the tailpiece mounting shouldn't be causing the top to separate from the sides like that. However I'd be tempted to take the strings and the tail-piece off and have a look at what is happening where the tail-piece is screwed into the end of the bass.
  22. That’s a beauty
  23. Lovely, I looked at that too. Came up super well man
  24. @HoorayForAnonyms was this your work? If so, thank you.
  25. Apocalypse in 9/8 - Genesis
