  1. Past hour
  2. Yes, you played through a Monza, Rob.
  3. Screams - Scream
  4. Fantastic basses. Absolutely love mine. GLWTS.
  5. Bring back the American Standard.
  6. YouTube is often good for this kind of thing where other, more official channels don't exist. There are certainly some singles and a 1978 Peel session by The Zones there, and it looks like the whole of their Under Influence LP has been posted as individual tracks:
  7. @stevie I am tryimg to remember which cab you brought over and plugged the Gnome into, I think it was the middle, the Monza. is that right? It sounded great with a Tonex or Mod Dwarf into the Gnome. Thanks Rob
  8. That’s honestly why I got it tbh the midi and presets
  9. Open to sensible offers. I'd much prefer a straight sale but I can always be tempted but the right trade!
  10. Honestly, I don't think I'd ever need more than +/- 2 octaves - I never have before. It's the presets, especially being able to switch between different presents with ease during a track that's really appealing.
  11. Fairly short list, but here goes... Behringer BDI-21 (overdrive/EQ/DI) Behringer BLE100 (limiter/enhancer) Boss TU-2 (tuner) * Boss LMB-3 (limiter/enhancer) Boss ODB-3 (overdrive) Boss XS-1 (pitch shifter) * Digitech Bass Synth Wah (envelope/synth) * EHX Bass Soul Food (overdrive) Fuzzdog Fat Furry Freak (fuzz) Hotone Harmony (pitch shifter) * Joyo Monomyth (overdrive/EQ/DI) * Mooer Bass Sweeper (envelope) TC Electronic Brainwaves (pitch shifter) TC Electronic Spectracomp (compressor) * TC Electronic Mojomojo (overdrive) Yamaha CO-10MII (compressor) * indicates currently on the board, correct as of midnight tonight - I will be swapping the TC Electronic Brainwaves out for the Boss XS-1.
  12. Also depends if need the +4-4 range tbh…..
  13. At the end of the day when everybody had gone home, the cleaner arrived with a bucket and mop to clean up the mess.😀
  14. Thanks, that's super useful!
  15. These are the cabs from Phil's demo (next to a headless @Chienmortbb)
  16. Well spotted! It was the Hotone Patch Kommander (post corrected). It was an excellent bit of kit, really intuitive to use and really really handy when trying to prevent tap dancing. Couple of niggles that lead to it getting moved on: Jacks were too close to each other (too close to make angled cables easy but straight cables too space consuming) You couldn't amend pedal order - if more than one switch engaged it stacked from 1-4, no option for parallel or changing stack order Other than that though, well built and easy to use analogue option!
  17. Damn! That looks like gig I regret missing out on
  18. great preamp I use it a lot , good luck with the sale
  19. The big reveal! @Phil Starr always puts on an interesting demo at th SW Bash. This year, he played a short bass track through all of these cabs - hidden behind an acoustically transparent screen - asking us to figure out what they were. Like everyone else, I didn't have a clue. I knew which one I preferred and which ones I didn't, but that was as far as it went. After the reveal, it turned out we had been listening to a range of cabs containing drivers extending from 6" to 15" - and nobody twigged. Amazing! Which, to cut a long story short, goes to prove something that most of us probably knew anyway: that size doesn't matter. 😀 My personal preference, which I think quite a number agreed with, was for the 8" cab. It sounded cleaner and better balanced to me because it was the only one with any decent high frequency extension. I think Phil is toying with attending the SE Bash. If so, someone should persuade him to do something similar there.
  20. Nothing But Flowers - Talking Heads
  21. Have you tried selling the case. There is some demand for those when they are branded with the Fender logo.
  22. G&L Fallout Tribute. Properly set up, with upgraded electronics and Fender locking tuners. Condition is almost as new. I can see two tiny blemishes to the paint but very hard to spot. CONSTRUCTION: bolt-on SCALE: 25 1/2" PICKUPS: Paul Gagon-designed Alnico pickups, G&L AP4285B P-90 in neck position and G&L AW4470B humbucker in bridge positon BODY WOOD: Poplar NECK WOOD: Hard-Rock Maple with Maple or Rosewood fingerboard NECK WIDTH AT NUT: 1 5/8" NECK RADIUS: 12" NECK PROFILE: medium C FRETS: 22 medium jumbo, nickel BRIDGE: G&L Saddle Lock CONTROLS: 3-position pickup selector, volume, tone with push/pull coil tap No case, so collection preferred but we can discuss posting if required.

  23. Yeah, I know MTV hasn't really been about music for several decades. Half a dozen MTV channels being pulled off the air across Europe end of December. MTV has been more about reality TV shows than music for some time, for me, no great loss, but I do have fond memories of Headbangers and Ray Cokes.
  24. Bogren Digital are doing an Autumn sale of plugins. They don't have a lot other than 'Ampknob' amp sims which are controlled by a single gain control with predetermined EQ, impulse responses etc. I was very sceptical but downloaded a free trial of the 'Rev C' Mesa Dual Rectifier and Bassknob STD Ampeg SVT. Plugins are £35 each. Not expensive, but not cheap either. You can get some bundles of 3 for £70 or so. The sound? Really impressive to be honest, especially the guitar one. The bass one is very good, but is it 'better' than a Brainworx, Softube equivalent? Not in my opinion, but the Bogren is very easily to set up with a 'that'll do' tone for quickly putting an idea down without having to mess with 10 different settings. For that reason I bought it.
  25. These photos would not be complete without a view of the three LFSys cabs I took to the Bash. From left to right, the Silverstone II, Monza and Monaco. That's my Classic Vibe Precision in the front and a Trace TE1200 providing the oomph.
